Once More Around the Mulberry Bush

It's remarkable how history repeats the stories of the Bible. In the Book of Exodus, Moses saw how his people were being mistreated by the Egyptian rulers the same way Obama saw how his mother was being mistreated by the system. Obama's mother had cancer and while in the hospital she was being tormented by the insurance company that didn't want to pay for her medical treatment on account of her cancer may have been a "pre-existing condition."

The beauty of the present story is that Obama didn't have to kill the offending officer administering the system like Moses killed the slavedriver who beat the Jewish slave. Obama worked hard and now he may become President and right the situation for millions of Americans without insurance. There was no way for Moses to become Pharaoh, but there is a way for Obama to become President.

Obama as President will force the insurance companies to pay for the health care of everyone insured. Of course, everyone who works will have to get insured for the system to work, and for those who don't work for whatever reason, the government will provide the insurance.

In this way, the government will insure that there are no slave-drivers and everyone will get insurance regardless of whether they work or not.

This is a win-win system, since everyone will get paid for their work. The patients will get treatment. The doctors and the drug companies will be paid by the insurance companies. The insurance companies will get paid by the employers and the employers will profit from the workers and pay the insurance companies and the government for overseeing the whole system.

Since the employers will be responsible for the payment of everything, they have to be protected by the government against bankruptcy. The government will print the money and make it available to the employers as need be. The employers must not take advantage of the system and charge too much money for their products and services, and they must not pay themselves too high salaries.

This system works as long as there is one President, like there used to be one Pharaoh.

The whole problem in Egypt was that when Joseph dies at the end of the Book of Genesis, the new Pharaoh doesn't know who Joseph was and the Jewish people come under persecution. Then the ideal system ends up as slavery.

The system that the Democrats have chosen leads ultimately to slavery and Obama will be blamed for everything, the way George W. Bush is being blamed for the system not working now.

The American system works beautifully because it flip-flops between socialism and capitalism. Under socialism the workers get a little bit more and under capitalism the employers get a little bit more. We call these two partners in crime Democrats and Republicans.

Every four years according to our great Constitution, the people get to decide when it's time to change the system. It's a wonder we never get tired of it all.

However, when we do get tired of it all, we will go back to the Book of Exodus and read what we must do next. So we must not forget about the Scriptures. If we do, we'll end up in the wilderness again.

Unfortunately, that's human nature; that's what happens every time.
