The Republican pundits are all sure that Obama can be defeated in the coming election. They see the economy faltering and everything Obama does seems to make matters worse. Now, they assume that Obama is manipulating the truth and making it look like they are the fly in the ointment, preventing the economy from recovering, and it looks like he's pursuing this in his speeches hook line and sinker. But Obama has another plan that is working side by side his jobs bill proposals, namely his re-election plan.
What the Republicans don't understand is that Obama is only concerned with his re-election, not so much with the economy, but the perception of the economy. He couldn't wait to present his jobs plan to the joint session of Congress last week because he needed to set up a decoy for the Republicans to chase after, while he pursued his main goal, to get himself re-elected another term.
The decoy is in place now and the Republicans are in hot pursuit, including the hapless Tea Partiers, the Independents; and even the Democrats are clueless what their golden boy is up to. The decoy is made up of presents for everyone: jobs for the jobless, revenues for the struggling corporations, and taxes for the tax collectors. Everyone is cautiously optimistic, somewhat. The Republicans think that they can see the decoy, and the Democrats urge the Republicans to tackle the decoy. That's what makes it a perfect decoy. The American voters are looking at this grand spectacle, the meltdown of the capitalist system, and they ask the politicians to do something about it, give the people jobs or write them a check. "Do something!"
Why doesn't everyone see what Obama's master plan is all about? Well, there is nothing to see, it's all there, plain as the nose on everyone's face. All one has to do is look at the story of Joseph in the Scriptures. In chapter 45, Joseph finally reveals to his brothers that it is him, indeed -- Joseph -- who is now the head of all Egypt, Pharaoh's number one man. He tells them to go and bring their father Jacob from Canaan, where there is a famine. Jacob takes his entire family, fifty-seven of them and brings them to Egypt. Like Joseph, Obama sends everyone an invitation. All they have to do is come to Egypt and they will be saved and can now live in comfort.
So what happens after Joseph dies? The Children of Jacob, who are now three hundred thousand strong, end up as slaves in Egypt. And the Egyptians themselves are also slaves. In earlier chapters of Genesis we see how the reliance on the State to take care of them always leads a people to slavery.
Because the State has its employees, the administrators, who also need to be taken care of. They too have mortgages and children to feed. They don't do the work, yet they have to be maintained. So it's a pipedream to think that the government can be shrunk down. "Smaller Government" is a myth. Once the monster reaches a certain size, that's it, it needs to be fed and fed, until there is no more and then it devours its keepers.
Obama knows this, in order to play the role of Joseph, he has to tell the people, "Come to me, I will feed you and take care of you." He doesn't tell them about the slavery part. Obama knows about slavery. Like Joseph, his ancestors were sold into slavery. Now, he will make things right. While he is President, nothing will happen to his supporters. All he has to do is get himself re-elected and he will make sure that the charade will continue for another four years. After that who cares what happens to the country?
Obama came to America as a free man and ended up as a slave, just like the rest of his ancestors and all the other immigrants of all colors. He wasn't dragged to America in chains like his ancestors, but he was not a willing newcomer either. He was not the same pedigree: he was half White and half Black, neither Jew nor Gentile.
But he was better, he was an American. He knew the lingo and the mannerisms. He got along just fine. He could play the game with the best of them. He's the first Black President of the United States. He's holding the best cards right now, everybody is betting against him; but Obama knows that nobody can beat his royal flush. The millionaires and billionaires are throwing their money on the table. Obama urges them on, "I have a good hand, but maybe you'll get lucky!" They know one thing for sure, Obama will keep the game going until the end. He's the best card dealer we have now.
Everyone, you better learn how to play poker. It's not by just keeping a poker face; you have to learn how to bluff. How is the economy? It's growing, we are on the road to recovery! Re-elect Obama now!
The story of Joseph is not what the Scriptures had in mind for the Israelites. Moses had given them the Laws and had gotten them out of Egypt, but they would always live as slaves until they recognized that their God was not all about money. The prophets all prophesied about the coming of the Messiah, an eternal Savior. Everybody expected the Messiah to be a king of this world, but that was not his destiny. He was above and beyond this world. He was the creator of life and the grantor of everlasting peace, not the peace that comes from submission, but the peace that comes from freedom.
The Republicans and the Democrats are going about it like it's all about money. It never was all about money. It's about freedom. Freedom cannot be bought with money; someone will always come along and offer more for it. It cannot be won in battle; someone will always come along and wrest it away.
Americans must stop believing in slave masters with grandiose promises. The Lord's blessings are not won by works but by faith. Here we have a man who has broken through the race barriers and won the Presidency, he offers us money and prosperity. It's the carrot and the stick routine allover again. We have to recognize the trick. We must return to our roots as a nation, when our leaders read the Scriptures and contemplated their blessings according to what the Creator had in store for them. They passed this tradition to us and made America the place to be for many generations of Americans and a safe haven for millions of immigrants.
Both the Democrats and the Republicans have strayed from these principles. The Independents and the Tea Partiers aren't any better. The issue is not economics, it's faith.
Faith in what? What is faith? What faith? Or rather, which faith? The Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Hindu, or Buddhist faith, or no faith. What we have in America is no faith. In other words, the "separation of church and state." This Jeffersonian concept means let's forget about faith -- talk about religious freedom. "Congress shall not institute a religion ..." Bravo. Let no one institute a religion. Jefferson also decided that the story of raising Lazarus from the dead was preposterous, so he deleted it from the New Testament. To delete religion was alright, but not to institute any religion ... therefore, atheism. That's what the two parties ended up choosing. So here we are, a busted economy and the reliance on man to feed himself and to play fair when it comes to other people's stomach.
The Republican candidates are goaded into attacking each other based on their ideas of who feeds the people better, while Obama scores victories in making promises to the poor. In a poor economy, the poor are more numerous. So who will win? Obama has cornered the market in this arena.
It's funny that they're all saying, "God bless you and God bless America." Also, they're all saying, "We are Americans, we can do it." Well, anybody can do it. Obama says, "You can do it!" even louder than the rest of them. So it comes down to the same old thing: who are you going to vote for? If you don't rely on the Creator, it doesn't matter who you vote for. If you do rely on the Creator, know your Creator and do His will. How do you know His will? It's recorded in the Scriptures. Do you know which are the authentic Scriptures? They're not the ones Thomas Jefferson read from, obviously, otherwise he wouldn't have come up with the "separation of church and state" abomination.
You must ask yourself what is the Lord's master plan for America. The Scriptures are a spiritual history of all that happens in the world. There are many lessons to be learned from the Scriptures. Compare the Scriptures to all the other books in existence. Which ones are better?
