Jesus said let your yes be yes and your no be no.
If you say yes to everyone, one day will come when you have to say no to everyone, because you will have run out of everything, when you always say yes. That is what liberalism is all about, saying yes to everyone, until there is nothing left, whether it is health care, money or freedom to do anything.
However, when a liberal leader says no to everyone because money has run out, there is one person he cannot say no to, and that is himself, and that is what dictatorship is all about. You cannot expect the leader to be without anything; he has to survive in order that the government may survive, and maybe even the whole country -- though somewhat impoverished.
What Jesus meant was that sometimes you have to decide on what is right; sometimes it has to be no, so that sometimes it can be yes.
