Who could have predicted the September
11 attack on America? Carried out by the weakest force in the world,
namely an unknown terrorist organization made up of Muslim Arabs
operating out of exile in Afghanistan, nineteen suicidal maniacs
educated and trained in Western technology, these young men destroyed
the lives of totally innocent people and started a campaign of terror
against the whole civilized world. How could this have happened and who
were the beneficiaries of these actions?
Everyone who becomes a US Citizen or is inducted in the Army is asked
to pledge allegiance to the United States of America, to defend its
flag and Constitution against foreign and domestic enemies. We know who
America's foreign enemies are, because they have openly declared
themselves as our enemies; but who are our domestic enemies?
The Constitution is not talking about common criminals and thieves as
our domestic enemies; our domestic enemies are those people who work to
dismantle our cherished American Values.
What are some of these values that these people oppose?
1. Children in public schools saying a prayer to start the day.
2. Freedom to work as individuals (not as members of a union) and make
an honest living.
3. The opportunity to pass on one's earned wealth to one's children and
grandchildren.
4. The right to repeal laws that impose unfair taxation.
5. The freedom to educate one's children in the schools of one's choice
or to educate them at home if the parents choose.
6. The freedom to worship in a church of one's choosing or to start a
church according to one's own religious beliefs.
7. The right to bear arms and defend one's freedom against domestic and
foreign enemies at times of crisis.
But these are the Values that the Democrats are trying to dismantle, so
why do the American voters keep voting for the Democrats? This is a
mystery.
Perhaps the atheists that dominate the American universities can use
the scientific method to figure out what this mystery connotes.
The Democrats are in power now. They control both houses of Congress,
the Senate and the House of Representatives. This new election, the
Presidential Election of 2008 inaugurates a new era in American
politics and system of government.
For the first time in US history we have members of new religions
entering the Presidential Race. From the Republican side we have
Catholics and Mormons and from the Democrats we have Muslims and
atheists. Of course, there are also mainline Christian candidates on
both sides running for office. But the American voters for the first
time don't want to hear about religion. The public schools have done
their job; religion is the villain, God is out. Why is that? Have the
Terrorists won?
Shall we not talk about this? Is America still the land of the free and
the home of the brave? Or have we come to the end of an era and the
paradigm is shifting?
