Let's just say you're sick of it all and you want to vote for Obama to be President; at least he will dole out the money to everyone and bring equal justice to all the dispossessed people in America, pull the troops out of Iraq and offer the world peace if they want it (and if they don't want it, that's not our problem.)
Maybe it all makes sense to you; but is it really true? Is this how the world operates?
Take universal healthcare, have you ever been in an emergency room at your local hospital waiting to be treated? There is a kid in the waiting room with a bleeding finger. They'll take him first. A drunk has fallen and passed out on the street and is brought in by ambulance. An old man is coughing badly and he's in his seventies. You don't know what you have, but you're having chest pain; nobody knows what it is. You've been brought in by ambulance from your home. Everybody is waiting for treatment.
They took the kid with the bleeding finger first; you have no problem with that. To make the story short, they take everyone first and finally it's your turn. You came in at 1:00 AM and by 4:00 AM a doctor walks in and they do all the tests on you and send you home without even an aspirin. There is nothing wrong with you, the ER doctor says, go home and call your doctor in the morning.
It doesn't matter what system you're living under, whether Capitalism, Socialism, Communism or Fascism; the treatment is all the same. If you've ever lived in Canada or Europe, where they have socialized medicine, you know that you have to wait forever in emergency rooms also. After all, they have to take the most serious cases first, and if there aren't enough doctors and nurses, what are they going to do? There is only so much money in each country for these programs too; it's not just here in the US. It doesn't really matter what system it is.
And it's not just healthcare. You take social security, who gets the most money and who gets the least amount and who get's nothing? Well, for those people who always had deductions and never paid into social security, they get nothing -- literally. For those people who paid less, the social security benefits are a few hundred dollars, and they don't get Medicare. There is a certain amount that has to be paid in for even Medicare benefits to be paid to you.
When politicians offer this and that, have you noticed they always say, tax-payers? Suppose you're a Vietnam veteran who lives under a bridge in Central California and the neighbors bring you some food and blankets a few times a year, such as at Christmas and other holidays; what do you get from the Bailout; you're not a tax-payer? You were at one time and you fought for your country, but you're no longer a tax-payer because you don't work. If the homeowner who used to bring you food and blankets loses his home and the Bailout doesn't extend to him, how is he going to survive? So the Bailout is not fair for either one of you.
To make it short, under any system of government, who get paid and who doesn't; in all situations; depends on who is part of the system. So who gets the benefits? Well, isn't it those who qualify? And who qualifies under each and every system of government? The ones who are in line with the governing body of leaders and officials, isn't that so? Who decides who these people are? Why, you the voter. Who are you going to vote for now?
Okay, don't tell me. I'm going to vote for the American hero, who sat in a Communist prison in Hanoi (they called it the Hanoi Hilton; it's not meant to be funny, you know what I mean?) I'm going to vote for Senator John McCain, I know he won't put himself first, because if he didn't come home when the Vietcong wanted to send him home (for propaganda purposes on account his father was Rear Admiral McCain of the US Fleet that bombed them day and night,) then I know he's not going to bail himself out first when the economy goes to hell because of the greed of a few crooks that our freedom allows to exist (you can't pull the weeds without pulling the wheat, so you wait for the harvest, Jesus said) and now we have such a situation; it's time for the harvest and we need good workers.
Senator John McCain and Governor Sarah Palin for me.
