The Binary System

Have you ever wondered why there are two halves to the brain? Children with one malformed brain hemisphere, live a normal life when surgeons remove the defective half of the brain. Also, in cases of severe schizophrenia, the connection between the two hemispheres of the brain is severed and they are separated so that they don't "think together." This is a form of cure for schizophrenia.

However, the normal functioning of the brain is the process of the two hemispheres to work together. It's a form of "checks and balances" between the data in the brain. Scientists have discovered that there is a certain differentiation of functions, for example, the artistic decisions seem to be made by the right side of the brain and the financial decisions seem to be made by the left side of the brain. But for the most part the two halves are identical in function, as we know that a human being can function with one half of the brain. In such cases, when doctors have followed up on children that had one side of the brain removed, they've discovered that all the functions of the brain are re-integrated in the one side.

The binary system is not the only system in nature, but that's how God created the human being. However, the human beings were created in the image of God, so what does that tell us about God's mind, is it also binary? Well, I believe that is what the Father and the Son concept is all about, they are the two hemispheres of one Consciousness, and the Holy Spirit is the result of their thinking and feeling.
