The challenge for the Democrats is: can they allow Evangelical Christianity to survive and prosper in the US?
The challenge for the Evangelical Christians in the US is to convince the American people that Freedom of Religion is meaningless if Christianity cannot be a vital force in American Society. If Christians cannot evangelize, there will be no Christianity left in America by the end of this century.
The challenge for the Arabs and the Muslims is: can they allow Eastern Christianity to survive in their midst? If they cannot then no amount of freedom and democracy will change the situation in the Middle East, and ultimately the war between the West and Islam will lead to a nuclear holocaust, which might even destroy the planet before Global Warming or anything else may do any significant damage.
With this election, the American people, as the news media seem to project, will replace the politicians who would continue the War on Terrorism with politicians who will withdraw the troops from the Middle East and allow the chips to fall where they may. The Democrats literally have no policy for the Middle East. They will simply ignore the Middle East and the genocide against Eastern Christianity that has been going on since the beginning of the 20th Century and the First World War.
If by some stroke of luck (or by Divine Intervention, for those who still believe in God), the American voters should elect John McCain as President, the extermination of Christianity will be delayed for a while, (the rest is up to God.)
