All we have is this freedom, which does carry with it some responsibility. As long as we don't impinge on someone else's freedom, we can express ourselves freely. This blog will serve as my blogger journal. I try to stay open to ideas. I don't think there's anything wrong with changing one's mind, but there have to be some fundamental beliefs that remain true.

Civilized Human Beings


Civilized human beings sit at the negotiating table and work out their differences. When people refuse to negotiate, sometimes war is the only option. Every nation has its own interests. These interests are best served when there's communication. The UN should be a forum for the free exchange of ideas. It should be a place for civilized people to speak openly. [March 8, 2005]

Protecting Civilization

At the outset of the 21st Century we've come to realize that we must protect civilization if we're going to survive as a nation. It's not enough just to conduct the peaceful transfer of power in our own country, we must serve as an example to other nations if we're to remain a super power. Our civilization is based on the recognition of God. Therefore, we must fight off the pessimism of the atheists, who deny the existence of God and call it realism or the scientific approach. Nothing can be built on the denial of God. The Soviet Union and Communism failed after seventy years of denying God's existence. Now we have the liberal Democrats trying their luck with removing God from our culture and the education of American children. [February 20, 2005]
