A Free Thinker's Web Log

All we have is this freedom, which does carry with it some responsibility. As long as we don't impinge on someone else's freedom, we can express ourselves freely. This blog will serve as my blogger journal. I try to stay open to ideas. I don't think there's anything wrong with changing one's mind, but there have to be some fundamental beliefs that remain true.

A House Divided Against Itself Cannot Stand

It is amazing how the wounds of the Civil War never seem to heal. Here we are again experiencing the debilitating hatred between the Democrats and the Republicans. It is hard to believe that we are living in the same country. For some people this is what democracy is all about, but what I see is America unraveling before the face of its enemies.

The terrorists are now blowing up buses in London and attacking Western subway systems in Europe with suicide bombers. This is seen as an expansion of the war against the West by some news commentators, but I see it as an epidemic of terrorism against the civilized world.

The leftists and the liberals are calling for appeasement, the withdrawal of troops from Iraq and the curtailment of the war against international terrorism. This cowardice in the face of the enemy will lead to defeat, and this defeat is not a term of political semantics, like the defeat we suffered in Vietnam. Withdrawing from Iraq and abandoning the war against international terrorism will flame the fires of hatred against the West and its form of Christianity.

Many political pundits think that the war being waged against the US and its coalition forces in Iraq is a war of Islamic extremists against Western Christianity and its support of Israel. I do not think so. The suicide bombers and the so-called insurgents in Iraq are fighting the Western free enterprise system. Western Christianity uses the moral authority of the Bible only in the name of economic prosperity. For Western Christianity money is a blessing and a sign of God's favor. For the enemies of the Western World, the economic power of the West means that the Third World will always be the slave of the West.

While the Democrats and the Republicans fight over who dominates Congress and whose constituents will enjoy the lion's share of the revenues of commerce, the terrorists will continue to whittle away at the foundations of freedom and the financial systems of the World. For the terrorists it does not matter to whom these financial interests belong.

For people of faith throughout the world, the well-being of humanity depends on a sense of unity and resolve. To defeat the enemies of freedom, the American people must deal with their Civil War wounds and come to terms with their fractured religious values. Religious freedom is good for everyone living in the US, but the religious freedom of all Americans cannot be protected if the dominant Christian culture cannot exercise its freedom of religion. The US cannot survive as a nation if Christianity is thrown to the dogs.

Legion of Atheism. The relentless attacks of the leftist media against the President have finally made an indelible mark on the soul of America. Even the Republican Senators are now beginning to call the Liberation of Iraq as the War. When the moderates join the liberals, the call to withdraw the troops from Iraq will become overwhelming. Providentially, it won't happen before President George Bush leaves office, but it most likely will happen regardless of what party wins the next election. The President's speech last week left little doubt that he is resolved to fight for freedom to the very end of his presidency; however, if the next president brings back secular politics to bear on American policy, the abandonment of Iraqi freedom will happen abruptly. In my opinion, the withdrawal of American troops from Iraq will constitute the biggest betrayal of the cause of freedom in American history. Iraq was a golden opportunity for the US to establish a permanent base of freedom in a strategic part of the world, not just for the sake of the Middle East but for the sake of the whole world. No country will be safe in the Middle East after the withdrawal of American troops from Iraq. History will judge such a withdrawal as the betrayal of civilization by a country that prided itself as being the most civilized. What a shame, a lost opportunity. Despite that, I think that President George W. Bush will be remembered as the greatest American President. As a personal Christian, he did what was right and liberated the people of Iraq and gave hope to millions of people in the Middle East. I also believe that the American heroes who fought in the battles of freedom in Iraq and the war on terrorism will be remembered as the greatest generation of American soldiers. The war against terrorism is being waged in Iraq for the last time, since the American people's representatives do not believe in eradicating terrorism. As legions of terrorists are attacking America from all over the world, the US Congress is preparing to end the war on terror and call it quits in Iraq. If the US is going to pull its troops from Iraq, how long will it take for the terrorists to strike at America? What will the atheists in America do when the terrorists strike at the US again? Will they not call for the annihilation of the enemy? What will prevent them from doing that, their moral sense? They do not have one. Secular morality is an oxymoron.

Rejecting Jesus Christ

It is ironic that in a country that is the most remarkably Christian in faith that there are so many atheists who openly reject Jesus Christ. This rejection of Jesus Christ that I am addressing here has nothing to do with other religions present in the US. I am speaking of two groups here.

First, the American Christians who believe in the distorted interpretation of the Constitution regarding the Bible, namely the concept of the "separation of church and state." The atheists have managed to convince millions of Americans that this is what the Constitution intended. That there is no mention of this concept in any US document of law is lost on the atheists of America.

The second group is the atheists who were raised in Christian homes. Most of these people are Democrats and liberals. They believe in "the woman's right to choose," the concept of the "separation of church and state," the right of homosexuals to state-recognized marriage, the removal of the name of God from all public documents, and the education of children in public schools based on these beliefs.

It is paradoxical that the rise of atheism in America is a byproduct of democracy, racial tolerance and religious freedom, and that these values are too precious to sacrifice in the fight against atheism.

Atheism among Christians has to be dealt with on a rational level. None of these concepts are absolutes. You cannot have perfect democracy, because people are not perfect and they are not going to vote the same way every time. Absolute democracy is mob rule. During the height of the Soviet Union, the Communists used to teach, through their propaganda machine, that "democracy is the dictatorship of the people." That was their way of addressing the charge that they were a dictatorship and nobody likes dictatorships.

Racial tolerance carried to its extreme means that inter-racial marriage should be supported by legislation, just as homosexual relationships are being pushed on us now. Nobody is stopping inter-racial marriages or homosexual relationships.

Religious freedom carried to its extreme means that the predominantly Christian culture in the US will be diluted by other belief systems until it will cease to be Christian altogether. After all, Christianity cannot be based on the rejection of Jesus Christ as the Messiah, the Son of God. Religious freedom, as advocated by the Democrats and the atheists, will lead to a secular society that will lose all its Christian values in time, and this is sadly the course that we are on now.

Ultimately, the rejection of Jesus Christ in the US is going to lead to an atheistic society and the total destruction of Christianity in the US. The American people rose to quell the assault on Christian values in the last Presidential Election by electing George W. Bush, the most openly Christian President we have had in recent decades.

September 11, 2001, was a day that united the American people. It made us realize how vulnerable we are if we abandon our Christian values. The Islamic extremists that attacked us on that tragic day saw our weakness as a nation divided against each other. They struck at the symbol of our success as a free society, the World Trade Center. However, what they were attacking was our vacillating stance in the defense of freedom.

What the terrorists advocate is totalitarian rule in Islamic countries. However, the world is too small a place now and the US cannot tolerate nuclear proliferation, and, therefore, we cannot ignore the assault against our friends and trading partners either.

Beyond this the issue gets complicated, but allowing the terrorists to arm themselves with nuclear weapons is a simple enough issue; it requires no great debate, unless you are a Democrat trying to regain power in the White House or the Congress.

We believe in freedom, but freedom means that we hold on to our values and live free in the context of those values. We cannot live free in a cultural vacuum. Since our values are Christian values, we must live as Christians or die as atheists.

If we allow atheists to take over our government, we will lose our freedom in the US. Under the leadership of a Democrat President who excludes all Christian manifestations of his faith from his office, the US will be vulnerable to the attack of its enemies. As a nation we will begin to lose one battle after another, until we become desperately impoverished and unpopular in the world. We have had a taste of that already a number of times in our own lifetimes.

The rejection of Jesus Christ is a costly mistake for the US to make. We have a President who is leading us to regain our Christian values. Now is the time to support him, his policies and his nominees. We elected George W. Bush for another four years, let us not make him a "lame duck" President. Let us continue to support him and let us win more Republican seats in the Congress of the United States of America, for the sake of conserving our values, so that what this President started can be continued by another President who is a personal Christian.

Rejecting Jesus Christ has never benefited this country. Think back over every upheaval and every major tragedy we have experienced in the relatively short history of the United States and you will find that rejecting Jesus Christ has always had devastating results.

Memorial Day

The War has already been lost,
as we must all die,
so endeavor to win all the battles of life that you can,
and remember, Jesus has already conquered death,
and you may yet snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

Now is the time that the Republicans should support the President.
The judicial nominees are important to maintaining a majority, not just in the courts but also for the future of the party in the next national elections. Without solidarity the party will flounder, like the Democrats have over the last two elections.

CATHOLIC RECONCILIATION

Perhaps Cardinal Ratzinger was elected Pope so he could continue the work of reconciliation that Pope John Paul II started. God did not grant the first Polish Pope enough years to accomplish the task, but in the personage of his secretary His purposes may be served. Pope John Paul II came out of war-torn Poland; Cardinal Ratzinger came out of Hitler's youth camps. Pope John Paul II dealt with the reconciliation of Eastern Europeans with the rest of the world; the Cardinal from Germany will have to deal with the reconciliation of Western Europeans with the rest of the world.  Europe has been gravitating toward white supremacy; Cardinal Ratzinger, who chose the name of Pope Benedict, will be reconciling the old thinking with the emergence of the Third World from totalitarian rule, who now demand equal rights. As Pope Benedict XVI, he will follow Pope John Paul II's course of reconciliation for another decade, and the world may be a better place for all that.

Civilized Human Beings

Civilized human beings sit at the negotiating table and work out their differences. When people refuse to negotiate, sometimes war is the only option. Every nation has its own interests. These interests are best served when there's communication. The UN should be a forum for the free exchange of ideas. It should be a place for civilized people to speak openly. [March 8, 2005]

Protecting Civilization

At the outset of the 21st Century we've come to realize that we must protect civilization if we're going to survive as a nation. It's not enough just to conduct the peaceful transfer of power in our own country, we must serve as an example to other nations if we're to remain a super power. Our civilization is based on the recognition of God. Therefore, we must fight off the pessimism of the atheists, who deny the existence of God and call it realism or the scientific approach. Nothing can be built on the denial of God. The Soviet Union and Communism failed after seventy years of denying God's existence. Now we have the liberal Democrats trying their luck with removing God from our culture and the education of American children. [February 20, 2005]

Inertia

The leftist tendencies of the media are pushing the US back into 20th Century thinking. Despite the fact that the American people have recognized the malady of atheism and are fighting back by electing conservative leaders to steer the US back toward morality, the liberal Democrats in all walks of life are mounting an insurrection against every decent effort made by the present administration. They are now clamoring for the US to pull out of Iraq before freedom has been permanently established in that country. And the desperate efforts of the atheists to discredit every moral decision that the President makes, are becoming a major problem for the prosperity of the US in general. In the arena of freedom, the lives sacrificed and the great achievement of the US Military will be squandered if the US is fooled into electing more liberal Democrats to Congress in the future. The Democrats wouldn't think twice about derailing the peace efforts in the world; the party has lost its mooring. The reform of the Democratic Party is a necessary step that can't be delayed any longer.

Electing a New Pope

The Cardinals are meeting behind locked doors to contemplate the fate of the Catholic Church in the 21st Century. Over one billion strong, the Catholics are on the verge of uniting the Christian World in one ecumenical movement. However, there are many obstacles still. There's the exodus from traditional values, reduced church attendance and homosexual priests. There's the political agendas of the Third World and the clamoring for power. The selection of a Pope will encompass all these issues. The direction of the Church will be set for many decades. Are Catholics going to emerge as a major force in world politics or are they going to play a secondary role in an increasingly secular world? Pope John Paul II opened up many windows; will the new Pope expand the view or will he pull down the blinds and return to conservative values? The media are eager to see a brave new Pope, one who will generate a lot of controversy, but the College of Cardinals are going to deliberate along different lines. Personally, I think this is a crucial point in history and the right Pope will have a major influence on the world. The right Pope will encourage peace, just as Pope John Paul II did. I wonder if the new Pope will recognize the primacy of the Ancient Aramaic Scriptures and unlock the Vatican Library to scholars of the Bible? The Ancient Aramaic Scriptures open up the possibilities for all people to embrace Christianity. Will the new Pope reinforce the egocentric view of Western Christianity, or will he recognize the role of Eastern Christianity? Pope John Paul II maintained a rational Western political outlook, while he offered peace to everyone. His visits to many countries opened up the dialogue for peace. It remains to be seen if the new Pope will continue that grand outreach to all peoples.

Pope John Paul II

This is the first Pope that recognized the existence of the Church of the East in five hundred years and had a meeting with its Patriarch, Mar Dinkha IV, a few years ago. For a brief period after the First World War, the Patriarch of the Church of the East, Mar Eshai Shimun XX111, negotiated with the British who controlled Iraq and the king of Iraq Ghazi; however, the Ashurai Resettlement was abandoned by the Allies when they exiled the Patriarch to Cypress. Pope John Paul II gave the Ashurai people of the late 20th Century a little hope that they wouldn't be massacred in Iraq even if the US elects a President who isn't a personal Christian like George W. Bush. With Pope John Paul II's passing, the Ashurai people have lost an ally during times of persecution. Now the Ashurai people must pray that the new Pope will follow in the footsteps of Pope John Paul II and encourage tolerance in the world toward the Christians, especially the unrecognized Christians in the East and the Orthodox Christians in the West. Farewell to the first Polish Pope. May the Lord give him a special place in heaven.

What were they thinking when they let Terri die?

Terri's Final Days on Earth

Who is this woman that the whole world is watching her die?

I think it's God's way of teaching us something about life and death.

According to 20th Century science, most people use only ten percent of their brains. Terri has twenty percent of her brain still intact and functioning. True, those parts of her brain that perform the many tasks that people up and about perform have atrophied. But Terri doesn't need those parts anyway. She has the necessary parts for her own existence.

Terri doesn't belong to anyone anymore; she belongs to America and to the world. She's a symbol of what the battle against atheism is all about. However, the atheists are silent, because they're afraid of exposing their true colors when it comes to one person's struggle to stay alive, especially when that individual is a believer. Thank God, finally, Terri received Holy Communion on Easter. The judges in Florida didn't oppose it, although they'd ruled against it.

Whether Terri lives and dies has become a huge national issue. Politicians are wary of it, and there is no clear partisan line to stand on, because the issue has nothing to do with man's law. No crime has been committed. Terri is fighting for her life and the only reason she's not being allowed to live is that she only has twenty percent of her brain intact. So then it's a scientific issue.

Well, according to science, Terri is not a fully functioning human being, but not according to God. Terri's spirit is functioning one hundred percent, but atheists don't believe in the spirit. 20th Century science is atheist, and we're ruled by 20th Century mentality, even though we're living in the 21st Century.

If God doesn't exist, there are no moral issues to consider. The law says that Terri's fate is decided by her legal guardian, who is her husband, even though he has a relationship with another woman and two children. Terri has been in this state for fifteen years, but her husband has not divorced her, but this doesn't matter anymore. Terri belongs to herself now. She's an individual.

According to 20th Century science and atheism, it's the human brain that determines that God must exist, because of it's sophistication the human brain can reflect about it's own existence and the existence of the world. The human being is considered the only animal that can reflect internally and marvel, shall we say for brevity's sake, at his own intelligence.

It's interesting that the courts have ordered that an autopsy is to be performed after Terri's death to determine the condition of her brain's injury. The autopsy may find that she has twenty percent of her brain is still intact, more or less, but the autopsy won't be able to determine if Terri has a spirit. Her spirit will have gone out of her body after she dies. And that's where 20th Century science comes to an end.

However, if God does exist, and I believe He does, then Terri's death suggests that the US justice system is not under God.

This is something for the American people to decide: are we still "one nation under God"?

The Temptation of Mel Gibson

Matthew 4:8-10: Again the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory, And he said to him, "All these I will to give you, if you fall down and worship me." However, Jesus replied, "Be gone, Satan! For it is written, 'It is your Lord God that you shall worship and that for him alone you shall work.'"

If we study the Mel Gibson movie, "The Passion of the Christ" -- soon to be re-released as "The Passion Recut" -- we can see the road map that leads to racism.

Six million Jews were murdered by the Nazis during World War Two because of what this type of thinking foreshadows. The movie, typical of this sort of tripe, begins with a scene of a mob sent by the high priests and the Jewish elders to arrest Jesus. Contrary to all the Gospels, the beating and torture of Jesus commences before the trial by Caiaphas that finds Jesus guilty of his proclamation that He is the Messiah prophesied by the Scriptures.

Based on the hysterical vision of an Austrian nun of the 19th Century, this account of the last twelve hours of Jesus on earth is right out of the Dark Ages of Europe when the Roman Catholic Church burned people at the stake. Some of the most evil men were involved in what became known as the Inquisition.

Despite this infamous age of Western Christianity, when Europe was inundated by one plague after another, these dark-minded zealots of the Roman Church, parading as theologians and guardians of the Bible, destroyed most of the Churches of Eastern Christianity and drove them out of the Aegean Region deep into Islamic countries, where ironically they enjoyed relative calm and a respite for a few centuries.

No wonder Mel Gibson decided to fake the Aramaic spoken in this movie; there are hardly any people left that can contradict him. Of course, I believe that the Lord permits all this to happen, because everyone serves the purposes of the Lord whether they know it or not.

Every step of the way we see the cruelty and unfairness of the Jews. Even the ones who are sympathetic to Jesus, such as his mother and Mary Magdalene, have accepted the fact that Jesus must endure this suffering. It's as if Jews are a murderous culture and all they do is torture people. They are shown as conniving, callous and evil people.

Furthermore, the movie so brutalizes the image of Jesus, that even some of the Muslim viewers will be outraged by this movie, as they hold Jesus in higher esteem than this movie does.

Mel Gibson said in a recent television interview that he's removed six minutes of the most brutal scenes from this movie, so parents can take their children to see the film. I think it's terrible to subject the children to this horrible spectacle. It's bad enough millions of adults have seen this movie, I was hoping the children would be spared.

Jesus said regarding those who mislead children, that it would be better to throw a millstone on their necks and cast them into the sea.

After the first release of the movie took in six hundred million dollars at the box office, one would think that Mel Gibson would be satisfied, but I guess he couldn't resist the temptation to release it one more time.

The Miracle of Transsubstantiation

Maybe the wafer and the wine that Terri would've received if the courts allowed her to receive Communion on Easter Sunday would've revived her. Of course, now we won't be able to find out. Why did it have to be this way?

Segregation of Church and State

Only God can decide who lives and who dies. Everything is according to his will. If Terri lives then it’s by the grace of God and not by the will of man. But we can see the liberals in favor of letting her die, because there are so many others who need the urgent care and they’ve decided that they know best. It’s democracy at play: let the people decide. Keeping the girl alive depends on tax payer dollars. She’s been in this state for fifteen years. The tax payers have more important priorities. It’s not fair to society to let her live anymore. However, from a Christian perspective, it’s not up to us to decide who lives and who dies. The President and the US Congress have signed a bill to let Terri live, but the judges in Florida don’t agree and the Supreme Court doesn’t want to ruffle their feathers. So now we have this impasse, this reluctance to do the right thing.

The News Media Continue to Betray US Interests

I don't understand why most of the US News Media attack the US policy in Iraq. It's gone beyond partisan politics, this is traitorous. The newspapers continue to use such language as "the invasion of Iraq" and "the occupation of Iraq." I can understand "freedom of the press" and all, but this isn't just political bias, it's relentless anti-Americanism.

The horror that won’t go away.
Last night I saw a commercial for the re-release of The Passion of the Christ. The movie has already been out in video, so it’s ridiculous to release it theatrically again. Recut by Mel Gibson, just in time for Easter, this movie is just not going to go away. It’s intended to fleece the Neo Christians one more round. I suppose it’s Mel Gibson’s revenge against the Academy Awards for ignoring him this year by not nominating him and his movie for the Oscars. The movie didn’t even win an Oscar for cinematography, which it might have if the movie wasn’t such a horrific experience. The first version of The Passion of the Christ was banned by Israel. It might be the only movie banned by Israel. I’ve never heard of such a thing before, but The Passion of the Christ is truly a most prejudicial portrayal of the Jewish people in the history of cinema. It’s mind boggling that so many Protestant Christians actually think of this movie as a magnificent article of faith. I think it’s horrible. It’s like a suicide bomber’s idea of an exploitation movie. Osama Bin Laden couldn’t have come up with a better way to attack the Western World. The movie comes out at the worst time also, just when the negotiations between Palestinians and Israel are beginning to show some signs of fruition. Of course, Mel Gibson made six hundred million dollars with the first release of the movie, so after being snubbed by the Academy Awards, he decided to bring out this horror film again. It’s really nothing more than a horror film, because its theology is terribly flawed. On the one hand the movie goes against the Catholic Church’s position that the Bible was recorded mostly in Greek and Latin and not in Aramaic; on the other hand it jumbles up the Aramaic and produces a garbled version of the Aramaic spoken at the time of Jesus. There’s absolutely no truth or authenticity in this movie. Still, I expect that this terrible movie is going to do well at the Box Office one more time. It’s like the Neo Nazis' version of a Christian movie. Too bad, because my Aramaic Bible translation project has generated some truly positive portrayals of Jesus Christ; this film could be the kiss of death for any genuine portrayal of the loving Messiah that we all yearn for. I give this movie two thumbs down.

Egypt is going to have free elections also. Lebanon is planning to hold new elections soon. Saudi Arabia held municipal elections. Freedom is on the march. It’s all happening because the US liberated Iraq and laid the groundwork for free elections, which took place successfully last December. President George W. Bush was right and the Democrats were wrong. The President’s policy is bearing fruit. We can look forward to peace in the Middle East finally. We’re now moving in the right direction.

Off the Deep End
Dan Rather takes another stab at the President. The CBS anchorman can't resist the opportunity to disgrace his record one more time before his dismissal from CBS news becomes final. He wants to drag down the entire network with him kicking and screaming. This is his last chance to sully the reputation of a great president. He'd like to make it sound like President Bush was condoning the use of marijuana just before he became President. What a shameful way for Dan Rather to exit, but maybe it's an appropriate way for the leftist bias of the 20th Century media to come to its miserable end. And as if this weren't enough, Dan Rather concluded his CBS report last night with some portraits of fallen heroes of the war of liberation of Iraq with his commentary implying that the soldiers that died lost their lives in a losing war, thus denigrating the sacrifices of the soldiers that gave their life for this country. Dan Rather treats the sacrifices of the soldiers as a tragedy in a wrong war, when the tragedy doesn't belong to him or his leftist colleagues in the media; it belongs to the families of the fallen heroes and those Americans that honor them.

Exit to Nowhere

All the Democrats talk about these days is exit strategy. What's the exit strategy for Iraq?

When people talk about exit strategies, whether it's business or politics, their intentions aren't usually honorable. Why are the Democrats asking the Bush Administration, "What's your exit strategy for Iraq?" Iraq isn't the quagmire that Vietnam was. America liberated Iraq. Now's time to reconstruct the land that was devastated by foreign occupiers, who used the resources of Iraq to wage a war of terror against the innocent peoples of the Middle East. In order to carry out their genocidal intentions, the Ba'athist regime of Saddam Hussein had to suppress the people of Iraq. This was not a case of Sunni against Shi'ah. It was a case of despotism against democracy.

Why don't the Democrats talk of our exist strategy for Germany, or our exit strategy for Japan? Why do they talk about our exit strategy for Iraq. Iraqi expatriates have been begging the American government for years to do something about Saddam Hussein. Nobody did anything for the Iraqis until September Eleven.

For the Iraqi people the Weapons of Mass Destruction were never the issue. They were an oppressed people that needed to be freed. It was not the duty of the Americans to free them, but the Terrorists who committed the genocide on 9-11 were being supported by the Terrorists inside Iraq. That's why on September 11, there was dancing in the streets of Iraqi towns and cities. How naiive can someone be to deny that the same people who danced in the streets as a result of the tragedy in NYC on 9/11/2001, were the same Terrorists under the skin as the ones who committed the atrocity on that day?

That they were a small percentage of the population goes without saying. The majority of Iraqis are glad to be free and appreciate what the US finally did for them, but the small percentage of genocidal maniacs in Iraq are typical of all totalitarian regimes who allow racial hatred to run rampant in their countries.

There are many regimes in the Middle East who aren't democracies; however, Saddam Hussein's regime was openly against the US policy in the Middle East. They had declared themselves the enemy of the United States, just as Osama Bin Laden had. There's a difference between a non-democratic regime or a monarchy that is allied with the US and a regime that's openly antagonistic toward the United States. This is where the Democrats in politics don't draw the distinction. Kerry in his campaign speeches attacked the relationship between the US government and the Saudi Arabian government. It showed his ignorance of the US policy over several US administrations with respect to Saudi Arabia.

The US should stay committed to the rebuilding of Iraq. Staying in Iraq is necessary for maintaining peace in the region. The holy cities of the Shi'ah sect of Islam are in Iraq. The US isn't interested in occupying any of them. The US presence in Iraq is strictly to maintain the freedom of the Iraqi people against the Terrorists, who are predominantly common criminals without ideology or purpose, except to commit acts of genocide against innocent people.

Mesopotamia is the birthplace of civilization. It's called the Cradle of Civilization. According to the Bible, God created Adam and Eve there and put them in the Garden of Eden or Paradise.

Did the Devil ask Adam and Eve, "What's your exist strategy?" But he did find a way for them to be kicked out of Paradise. There are some places where one needs to stay put. There's no need for an exist strategy for Iraq. Americans are needed to protect the Iraqi people against the Terrorists.

The only exit strategy I see is for the Democrats to resign their seats in the US Congress and allow for the unrepresented Americans to participate in the American democratic system. What are the Democrats contributing to the democratic process? Just negativity? The Democrats would like to change the perception of the American people regarding the US policy in Iraq. They're not only out of touch with reality, because they can't accept the fact that they lost and are wrong about Iraq, they're now trying to make it sound like they were right all along and the US needs to admit its mistake in liberating Iraq and calling it the occupation of Iraq. In that regard, they're in agreement with those Europeans who supported Saddam Hussein by doing business with him, selling him weapons and giving him the false hope that they'd rescue him through diplomacy. It's all very obvious and painfully embarrassing, but we need to say it like it is. All the people of the world would like to have a say-so in their own government regardless of religion or race. All people deserve to live free. That's how everyone will respect each other and live at peace with one another.

Condi

[Dr. Condoleezza Rice Secretary of State]

The misguided attacks of the Democrats against Dr. Condoleezza Rice have brought out the fascinating side of the Democratic Party's decline. Condi, as she's affectionately called by her friends, has emerged as the most brilliant foreign policy strategist of the Bush Administration. Her control under fire and her clarity of vision have established her as the best candidate for Secretary of State. I believe she's the best hope for peace in the Middle East and the world. I think the Democrats should rise above petty politics and give her unanimous consent for the job.

President George W. Bush

[President George W. Bush swears on the Open Bible]

With his hand on the open Bible, he swears to defend the Constitution.

President George W. Bush took the oath of office on Jan. 20th, 2005, for the second term as President of the United States of America. He swore to defend the Constitution before God and Country.

Fit to be Tied

Atheism in American universities has now reached the terminal stage, and we don't have a system of government that can terminate the teachers and professors that teach it.

Yesterday, I saw a debate between the reporters of Fox News and an atheist professor who wants to prevent the President of the United States from taking the oath of office by invoking the name of God.

There's something wrong with a system that allows for this type of nuisance to reach the American public in their homes. But since it has, we must now consider restoring our educational system so we don't end up having to lose all the freedoms that we cherish, especially the freedom to worship our Lord and God.

Perhaps, there is some law that has been overlooked in the Constitution that can be applied to try atheists who hold public office or university positions for sedition. I don't advocate incarceration for such individuals who are found to be the enemies of our culture, but they should at least be fired from their jobs. I believe in our freedom as a nation, but traitors to our Constitution should not be representatives of our nation or teachers of our children.

Atheism is a disease that came to us from the former Soviet Union. This disease has ravished our nation for a century. Our universities are inundated by atheist professors. They've removed the name of Jesus from all public school textbooks. Now they want to remove the name of God from the Declaration of Independence. We may have won the Cold War, but we've lost the cultural war. We can't even protect ourselves against the atheists now. They openly call themselves Marxists, but they go crazy when they're called Communists. I don't understand anymore: what is it they want? If the President can't swear on a Bible when taking the oath of office, what is he supposed to swear on? Do the atheists have a Bible? I've never heard of one. After all these years one would think that they had agreed on some manifesto, but then the denial of God's existence can't generate anything positive. We can't be expected to swear on a blank principle, on the negation of all Scriptures, on the existence of a black hole of morality.

Is there no sanity left in any of the universities? Can't the American universities clean up this mess that they created?

Democrats against Democracy

It's ironic that the same people who call themselves Democrats are clamoring for the US to leave Iraq and call the liberation of Iraq a failure. After over a thousand Americans have lost their lives in Iraq, ridding Iraq of American-hating terrorists, the Democrats want the US to withdraw from this beleaguered country in the Middle East, and declare the heroic American soldiers as the losers.

The Democrats are thus betraying not only their allies in the Middle East, but they're betraying the American heroes again, like they did in Vietnam.

The Iraqi people are poised to hold their first free elections in history. They're taking a beating at the hands of their foreign enemies, such as the genocidal maniac Osama Bin Laden. But the world cannot be held hostage by one man, if there are any decent people left in the world.

The Iraqi people will be the difference in the Middle East in the future, because terrorism in the Middle East will become the target of the Iraqi people, after they take control of their country and insure the right of all Iraqis to freedom and democracy. The Iraqis will be on our side for a change.

I think that all Arab-Americans and all the people of the Middle East should boycott the Democratic Party in the future. The Democrats don't want democracy for the Middle East. The Democrats, it seems to me, have always wanted the leadership of the US for the sake of controlling the American people. They use democracy just as a catch phrase to get themselves elected. Their main contribution to democracy has been great speeches. They know how to put on a show. They're great talkers. They can turn black to white and white to black. They can disembowel the truth.

The Democrats pretend to promote diversity, but in so doing they don't want to share power with the diverse people that voted for them. Try to get one of their Congressmen or Senators to help you with a problem. They'll immediately come up with an excuse that it's not fair to others if they help you. They practice tokenism in their appointments, but they don't bring benefit to the entire community, only to their immediate cronies.

The Democrats pretend to be in favor of labor, but they use mob tactics in unionizing the select few who are their benefactors. Look what they've done to the film and TV industry. They're giving out top awards to a traitor of democracy like Michael Moore. This propaganda filmmaker is calling for the defeat of democracy in Iraq.

The Democrats pretend to be in favor of homosexual rights, women rights, minority rights, but they put down anybody from these groups who doesn't belong to their party. Their hypocrisy became apparent during the last presidential election.

The Democrats have made a mockery of democracy. It's time they straightened out their act. If the Democrats want to become a viable party again, they need to weed out the liberals who've pushed the party so far to the left that they've put the radicals of the 60's to shame.

The Democrats lost the election of 2004 because of their stance on Iraq, but they're still pretending that it was the issue of validating homosexual relationships that made the Christians vote against Kerry. The Democrats are still in denial and are acting like the spoiled children that they are.

The Democrats need to become mature in their outlook and treat the wishes of the American people with respect. Enough of this red state and blue state business. Americans are a fair-minded people. The American people believe in freedom and democracy. They're a generous people; they believe in liberty, but they're not liberal with their values. Democracy should promote freedom, and if democracy is good for us, we should promote it in the rest of the world also.

Gift of Freedom

President George Bush has sent thousands of young men and women to fight the Terrorists in Iraq and secure the freedom of the Iraqi people. The Arab people throughout the world should seize this opportunity and join in the fight against terrorism. If they don't, a future US President will come along who won't see the freedom of other nations as a priority.

This is a unique period in history. Empires control the people they conquer and subjugate; President Bush believes in freeing the people of the world. Thus, the US does not need to become a world empire.

Terrorism is the antithesis of freedom. The liberal policy would've been to bomb and bomb the countries where Terrorists operate, until it was useless, and then out of desperation the use of nuclear weapons would be justifiable. This has happened in the past, lest we forget.

The wise policy is to spread freedom in the world, promote co-operation and free trade. Let people work side by side and co-exist, regardless of religion or race. This is the principle upon which America was founded. This is the policy of George W. Bush for the world as well.

From Hysteria to Denial

One of the results of the election that I didn't predict was the hysterical reaction of the losers. Kerry announced that he'll run again. Hillary Clinton may run. The Democrats seem to think that by adopting a Christian posture, they'll win in future elections. The liberal voters who supported Kerry are mad as hell. One would think that the Republicans tricked the electorate into voting for Bush and if not that, they suggest that the people who voted for Bush have the lowest IQs in America. However, worse than the hysteria of the liberals is the smug reaction of the media reporters and the journalists who think that this was just another election, that the Democrats will rebound in future elections and win back lost seats in the House and the Senate. These reporters all think that they know the answer and the winning strategy for a Democratic candidate to win the next Presidential Election.

I think that the Democratic Party is in denial. By the next election, two years from now, the Republican Party should try to win more seats in the Senate and the House. Ultimately it will take a drastic reduction of the Democratic seats in both Houses of Congress to convince everyone that the Democratic Party as we know it is going the way of the Dodo bird. This scenario looks like the most likely outcome of the liberal hysteria that swept the country in this election year. It was certainly too close for comfort for most Conservative Republicans to contemplate losing a Presidential Election to a Vietnam War Protestor like Kerry. It was bad enough to sit it out for two terms with Bill Clinton while Saddam Hussein and the Terrorists were building up armies of insurgents and suicide bombers to conduct genocidal acts against innocent people for decades to come.

For true, patriotic Americans there is no return to the days of carelessness and irresponsibility. It would be a sin for the Republican Party to carry on like the 2004 Election was just another victory for the Republican Party. The Democratic Party is too far gone for the two-party system to work properly. The Democratic Party needs to be reformed or replaced. In my opinion, I don't think it can be reformed. The signs from the Democratic Senators and Congressmen who won seats in Congress is that they're just having a bad year and that they must fight back.

It's not just that we're in a war or that we must keep off the Terrorists from attacking us again; we're at the crossroads of history. We as Americans must decide now that we can't let Islamic Extremists to conduct a war of attrition against us. We may not think of ourselves as a Christian Nation, but this is a moot point as far as the Muslims of the World are concerned. The Terrorists think of us as a Christian Nation out to destroy Islam. The Democrats don't understand this. They think that civil rights and economy are the only issues; that if we leave the world alone, the world will leave us alone. They're in denial, like the millions of Americans who voted for the liberals.

The Democratic Party has gone so far to the Left that the Center is on the Left side as well. As for the Right Wing of the Democratic Party, they're the Center now. As ridiculous as that may sound, they're the ones running for office. They're "for war" against Iraq! They don't even understand, we're not fighting Iraq; we're the liberators of Iraq.

The Republican Party shouldn't squander this opportunity. They should educate the public and help the opposition party to develop a patriotic alternative to the Conservative philosophy, an alternative that will offer the American value system and freedom to the labor-oriented constituencies of the Democratic Party, the non-Christian sector of the population, and the minorities. This was the traditional role of the Democratic Party. In playing this role, the Democratic Party can begin the reform process that it must undergo to remain a viable second party.

Debating Lawyers

Lawyers are trained to argue both sides of the same case. Any competent attorney can represent the plaintiff or the defendant equally well. The attorneys are required to fight for the case of their client regardless of whether they believe their client is guilty or innocent.

Both Kerry and Edwards are lawyers by profession. Their record in politics is typical of lawyers who win a seat in the Congress of the United States of America; they know how to play the game and straddle both sides of every issue.

During the presidential debates of 2004, we've had a chance to study this phenomenon as it plays itself out on television. Millions of American voters are being wooed to cast their vote based on who wins the debates according to the polls.

Last night I watched the Chaney-Edwards debate. It was ironic that Edwards claimed that Kerry and he were glad that Saddam Hussein was removed from power, but that the UN should've been allowed to continue the sanctions against Iraq and allow the weapon inspectors to do their job. He added that the weapon inspectors would then have discovered that there were no weapons of mass destruction. He didn't go on, and the rules of the debate didn't allow Chaney to make the rebuttal that if that were the case, then, if Kerry had been president, Saddam Hussein would still be in power. Because on what basis could the US then liberate Iraq, if there were no weapons of mass destruction? The UN wouldn't have approved the action and, in fact, maybe even the sanctions would've been removed against Saddam Hussein and he would've been able to resume his nuclear weapons program, his clandestine support of Terrorists and his well-known financial support of the suicide bombers, namely $25,000 paid to each of the families of the dead suicide bombers.

As a trained attorney, Edwards was able to take credit for both sides of every issue raised during the debate, just as Kerry had done in the Bush-Kerry debate earlier in the week. He claimed that Kerry and he had a better plan for "winning the peace" in Iraq. He criticized the Bush conduct of the war as being too weak. Kerry and he would train the Iraqi forces outside Iraq, I presume where it would be safe, and then return them to Iraq to fight the insurgents. Forgetting about the cost of training half a million Iraqi troops outside Iraq, where would Kerry and he train these troops, in which Arab or Muslim country would they train them? Would they fly them to the US for training? Again, the rules of the debate didn't allow enough time for a full rebuttal to these contradictory points that Edwards made. And as a trained lawyer, he made the best use of the rules.

Then the debate moderator asked, when would Kerry and he withdraw US troops from Iraq if they won the election, in six months or when? Edwards replied that they would withdraw the troops when the Iraqi military could take over the job, but that it would be sooner than Bush would. He argued in circles; Kerry and he always had the better plan, Bush and Chaney weren't doing good enough.

Finally, to show how low the Democratic Party would stoop in their desperation to win this election, Edwards complimented Chaney about his support for gay relationships, touching on a personal issue in Chaney's family. It was clearly designed as an insult against Chaney. It was in bad taste and hypocritical. On the one hand the Democratic Party is in support of homosexuality in the US culture and on the other, Kerry and Edwards supposedly recognize that marriage is the union between a man and a woman, a claim that Edwards made during the debate. He stated that he was opposed to the amendment that Bush proposes to maintain the sanctity of marriage in the US. Thus, Edwards claimed that he believes that marriage is between a man and a woman, but that he respects Chaney's position that people are free to choose whatever relationship they wish. And Chaney replied to this attempt at character assassination by Edwards by simply saying, thank you for the kind words regarding my family. The interviewer was stunned. "Is that all?" Chaney said that it was. He showed his character and his decency by not lowering himself to his opponent's level.

At every point in the debate, Edwards straddled both sides of the issue. Kerry and he approved of everything positive that Bush and Chaney had accomplished, but they didn't give them any credit; the credit belonged to the American people, to the Armed Forces. Kerry and he had a better plan; they would do better.

Chaney made hard points on the specific achievements of the Bush Presidency after the attack against the US on September 11, 2001; however, Edwards turned the truth upside down, always claiming that Kerry and he would do more. They would create more jobs, fix the Medicare system, "win the peace" in Iraq, and on with all the other liberal agenda that parades as truth.

This kind of debate doesn't have a winner, because the rules of debate aren't followed strictly. It was an opportunity for throwing slogans around, something the Democratic Party is good at. I hope the American people won't fall for it another time. This is too critical of a time in American history. We can't go back to the Vietnam Era mentality again. This is the 21st Century. Terrorists are attacking us from every corner. We need to stick with our leaders in the Battle against Terrorism. We need to hold on to our hard won values and maintain our freedom.

John Kerry went to the Viet Cong and made his peace with them, after he'd won his medals. As a lawyer he was playing both sides of the issue then. Today, we don't have the same situation as we did then. You can't go behind scenes and make peace with terrorists. Let's stay the course and not get deluded by the Democrats' call for change for the sake of change.

Democratic Convention 2004

John Kerry is now officially the Democratic Party nominee for President. "The Democrats know how to put on a show," said one TV commentator last night. I heard the speech John Kerry delivered. It was followed by rock and roll music, thousands of baloons dropped from the ceiling and huge fireworks.

John Kerry offered his Vietnam War sensibilities for the Democrats. He believes that his service in Vietnam will help him lead America out of war, but I'm not sure he understands that the Vietnam War isn't the same as the war on terrorism that the US is fighting in Iraq. The US liberated Iraq and placed an interim democratic government in Iraq, made up of Iraqis, that will conduct free elections in the early part of 2005. The terrorists are now fighting against the Iraqi and the coalition forces to prevent the free election process and the survival of freedom in Iraq. Their purpose is to beat the US out of the Middle East altogether.

John Kerry criticized President George W. Bush for his economic policy and suggested that he is exporting jobs out of the US; however, when speaking of drugs for senior citizens, John Kerry said that he will buy drugs from Canada and other countries for less money. Doesn't he understand that the US pharmaceutical companies will lose revenues and that American workers will be laid off?

My impression of the Democratic Convention this year was that the Democrats are parading the same old tired ideas. "There is hope on the way" doesn't address the difficult issues the US is dealing with right now. The fireworks, the balloons, the music and the flags were wonderful, but the Democratic Party has lost its credibility with the American people.

Day of the Hyena

Much has changed since that miserable day in the Fall of 2001. September Eleven was a blow to our morale as a nation, that despite all our efforts to make peace, there are millions of people around the world who perceive us as imperialists. However, our allies around the world know that America represents peace, and that our efforts are not in vain, as they've come to our side at this juncture in history. Professors talk of shifts in paradigm, but to the man on the street there is no mistaking it, there is much suspicion and even disorientation among Americans. We don't know who's our friend and who's our enemy anymore. To make matters worse, the secularization of our institutions have galvanized the liberals in Congress into calling for peace at any price. Our enemies have declared war on us and struck the first blow, but the liberals wish to hold off the War on Terrorism. Let our enemies first declare their innocence in September Eleven, they say. However, all they're doing is regrouping. The US never strikes the first blow, they say. Well, we didn't. War was declared on us. Every government in the UN has joined our allies in condemning the atrocity of that terrible day in September,

When the Trade Center Towers fell
... and thousands died a terrible death
Even our enemies were shocked.
... but the hyena cackles as it leaves the scene,
waiting for another day to scavenge.
... Only this nation isn't about to die.
The veil has been lifted from the eyes of our sons and daughters,
... and our President isn't backing down.

Day of the Hyenas

The war protestors are out in force once again. They parade in the streets and show off their ignorance of how many people have been murdered by the Assassin of Baghdad. The Iraqis are dying right and left. "Let them live in peace," cry out the war protestors, just as Mary-Antoinette said about the hungry people of France, "Let them eat cake." The people of Iraq have as much peace in 2003, as the people of France had bread in 1789.

As the US troops get into position to begin the war of liberation for Iraq, the European powers are working feverishly to scuttle the whole process. It appears that the Bush administration has backed itself into a corner. Waiting for the United Nations to pass another resolution is counter-productive, because all France and Germany are doing is finding a way to avert the liberation of Iraq.

The Iraqi people are anxiously awaiting the liberators. With British troops joining the US military strike force, it's poetic justice that Britain has come back to redeem itself after abandoning Mesopotamia in 1932. And now Spain has joined the Allies in declaring its solidarity with the US, even though the rest of the Allies are protecting their interests in a world terrorized by evil men masquerading as religious zealots.

One look at the faces of Saddam Hussein and Osama Bin Laden and it's obvious that these are not men of goodwill. Of course, their records dispel any such notion, but to the truly pathetic these men are considered heroes.

How could reasonable men speak of sovereign rights when it comes to such men's rule? They have reduced their citizens to whimpering hostages. They are forced to vote for one candidate in elections and rushed out into the streets to cry out for peace. Saddam Hussein and Osama Bin Laden are more like the hyenas that prey on the weak, the wounded and the dying. Their cowardice is demonstrated when confronted by the courageous.

Saddam Hussein patted children on their heads while they were held hostage together with their parents, Osama Bin Laden built hospitals for children in Afghanistan to win their hearts and use them in his war of terror, and Hitler kissed babies presented to him at state dinners by their brainwashed mothers. All these monsters pretended to be men of goodwill for the sake of publicity.

The same protestors that spat on returning Vietnam War veterans are out on the streets again doing what they do best -- demoralizing American heroes -- letting the hyenas return to their scavenging ways.

The Liberals Last Hurrah

There is something charming about the Democratic Party candidates running for election this year. They've thrown caution to the wind, charging madly toward the conservatives of the Republican Party. Their spirit is infectious, as they fly the old liberal banners; the hippie generation has finally come of age. Dean is even fond of saying that the sixties were great years of achievement for the people's rights. Kerry is advocating "regime change" as if we're being ruled by a dictatorship. As far as I know we've only had one regime since George Washington, who stepped down as President, without having to be deposed in a revolution, when Americans elected another President.

Bill Clinton won the Presidency promoting "change." That's all we got. And change for the sake of change isn't all that desirable. We're a great nation and we must preserve some of our values; we can't change everything. We don't need a regime change or a Constitutional change. We need to uphold our Constitution and the values that America was built on.

The Democrats must know that the American people cannot be duped one more time by voting for a liberal politician that wants to solve all the world problems by wonderful speeches. The Age of Liberalism is gone. The 20th Century is history now. We face a new reality after Nine Eleven. The defense of our freedom should not be a matter of political debate. Presidential candidates should debate differing approaches, but not betray the very cause of freedom. Pulling out of Iraq would leave our allies in the Middle East defenseless. It's not just the case of freedom for one people, but for everybody and ourselves as well. The terrorists aren't going to quit if we abandon Iraq.

Funny thing is that the Democrats used to support freedom and equality for everybody, but today this new generation of Democrats wants to unionize the Americans who live at poverty level. Essentially that's what their idea of Social Security and Medicare will achieve. We'll all be forced to live at the poverty level or be horrendously overtaxed. I think it's crazy to think that we can return to the Hippie days. Socialist ideas have never worked for us in America and even the Russians abandoned them finally. I know there's something intoxicating about the solidarity of poor people, but we can't return to a system that has played itself out.

As I watch the Democratic candidates running for the Presidency, I see a bunch of raggedy hippies reenacting the Civil War, charging against their opponents. I recall the Irish brigade that charged across the field of battle, with their music playing and banners flying, to be faced by their Irish brothers on the other side of the line. The tears rolled down those usually smiling Irish eyes, as they were forced to open fire on their own brothers in the Irish brigade. That's what I see as those candidates come charging across the field of battle, the battle for freedom of all. As tears stream from our eyes, those wonderful songs of the sixties blaring from their speakers and their colors flailing in the wind, let's take sure aim and punch them out of our ballot cards. No more hanging chads, just a clean sweep for conservative candidates. Let's play their songs on Broadway and celebrate their sense of optimism in Hollywood, but enough of their bleeding heart liberalism and generosity with other people's money.

September 11 Revisited

What a difference a day makes!

It is sad that a group of suicidal maniacs can change the course of history in one day. Nineteen fanatics who had given up the hope of accomplishing anything worthwhile in their lives, recruited by underground terrorist organizations, hijacked four airplanes and destroyed the twin towers of the World Trade Center, a portion of the Pentagon and killed thousands of people. They achieved nothing, except for arousing the wrath of the Western World.

The real issue behind the terrorism is the perceived favoritism of the US for Israel. The US favors the survival of Israel because six million Jews died in the Second World War in Nazi concentration camps. The US has dealt with great crises of racism in its history. Six hundred thousand Americans died in the Civil War because the US doesn't believe in racism. Even though the US has no desire to enter into the conflict between Jews and Arabs over the Palestinian issue, a number of US Presidents have attempted to mediate the issue. There have been agreements and treaties signed as a result of these mediations; US interests are best served when there is peace in the Middle East.

There is no clear justification for blaming the controversies between the Arabs and Israel on the US government. There is even less justification for holding the American people responsible for the differences between Jews and Muslims. America started out as a refuge for the Protestants of Europe. It's a nation where Christians came to enjoy freedom of worship. When other religions came, they found Americans to be generous in sharing their freedom and hard-earned values -- as long as others respected them. The US is, therefore, a different society. It's called the "great experiment," because America accommodates all religions and races. Here we have freedom of religion. Americans want no part of religious controversies that lead to mass murder and genocide. Americans were content in the past to serve as an example for all nations that peace between races and religions was possible. Now we must fight to protect our way of life from murderous maniacs who want to impose their madness on America.

What Have You Done?

When Michael Moore heard that he was the winner of the Palme d'Or for his non-film, Fahrenheit 911, he put his hand over his mouth and his nose in shame. The announcement was made over-dramatically by Quentin Tarantino that the Cannes Film Festival jury had decided to give Michael Moore the highest award for his propaganda documentary attacking President George Bush. That this film was not even an artistic movie like the Festival rules require was a sign that there was something very wrong here.

I was in Cannes, watching the award ceremony, as the announcement was made. When he lowered his hand from his mouth, Michael Moore's eyes rolled up in disbelief and his mouth dropped open. He got up from his seat and rolled aimlessly toward the podium. He crawled up the red-carpeted steps and approached the microphone.

I've never seen a more incredulous award winner in my life. At the podium he began to hyperventilate and put his hand over his mouth and his nose again. He finally turned to Quentin Tarantino and asked accusingly, "What have you done?"

Quentin Tarantino smiled from ear to ear and stared at Michael Moore steadily. Michael Moore then turned to the Cannes Film Festival audience who were applauding him madly. They rose to their feet and gave him a standing ovation. The camera picked up the face of Harvey Weinstein, the President of Miramax Pictures, a subsidiary of Disney Studios. He was beaming with pride for picking up the distribution rights to Michael Moore's movie.

Michael Moore muttered some words of thanks to the audience, then he turned again to face Quentin Tarantino. He asked him, "You're trying to mess with me, aren't you?" Quentin Tarantino couldn't hold himself any longer and burst out laughing and slapped his knee. But then he quickly recovered his composure and turned to Michael Moore with a confident smile that indicated that the jury was really serious in giving him the award.

I couldn't make any sense of it at all. How could everyone in the Cannes Film Festival jury decide to give the top award to this ridiculous film that was nothing more than an attack on President George Bush and his policy on Iraq? How could they make a mockery of the Palme d'Or and the Cannes Film Festival at the same time? Was it an elaborate hoax or an attempt to appease the haters of America?

At a time like this, when the US is at war with terrorists, was Michael Moore's attack against US policy an act of treason? Then it occured to me; this could be a deliberate intelligence strategy. By producing this despicable propaganda movie against President Bush, Michael Moore may have been attempting to mollify the French leftists and safeguarding the US against more attacks by terrorists. If this were the case, one must commend Michael Moore for destroying his own reputation as an American for the sake of peace in the world.

Exit Strategy

There are some investments that require no exit strategy; they're made for keeps. Such is the investment the US made in the freedom of the Iraqi people. After all, the future of the Middle East is in the balance. The Democrats' call for an exit strategy belies their contempt for America's commitment to promote democracy and, especially, freedom of religion in the Middle East. Moreover, the Democrats have turned against the predominantly Christian ideals of the American people at home. Having succeeded in banning prayer in public schools and turning the US into an atheist system, they're drunk with power. They badgered Dr. Condoleezza Rice during her Senate confirmation hearings regarding her stance on Iraq, disrespecting the fact that as a Black woman Dr. Condoleezza Rice had to overcome racism and sexism to rise to her position in public office. Thirteen Democratic Senators voted against her for the job of Secretary of State. The Democrats in the Senate keep asking for an exit strategy for Iraq, as if they were the ones that won the last election and received the mandate from the voters and not President Bush. [February 7, 2005]

Enemies of Iraqi Freedom

The Iraqi people risked their lives to vote in the first election in their history. The Terrorists, the insurgents, the foreign enemies of Iraq and the Democrats in the US are the enemies of Iraqi freedom. And not only are they the enemies of Iraqi freedom, they're the enemies of all the people of the world's freedom. The Terrorist leaders have come out and said that they're against democracy. I think it's time for the Democrat leaders to own up to it and say that they're also against democracy. They've already said that they don't believe that democracy will succeed in Iraq. Some of them have said that the price is too high for such a democracy even if it were possible. The Democrats don't want to help any nation become a democracy. They fought ten years in Vietnam and made this country lose 58,000 soldiers and then declared that the US had lost the war. It was a war the Democrats initiated themselves. They failed to bring democracy to Vietnam and made their peace with the Communist regime of North Vietnam. Now they can't wait to withdraw the troops from Iraq before democracy has been firmly established. I don't even know why they still call themselves Democrats. [January 30, 2005]

Oath of Office

President George W. Bush took the oath of office on January 20th, 2005. The President has vowed to protect the American people against the Terrorists. This girl's father was killed in the Trade Center on 9-11. The President's look says it all.

[President Bush comforting a 9-11 victim]

Iraqi Elections

The elections in Iraq will prove the Democrats wrong about the US liberation of Iraq and the spread of freedom and democracy in the world. The Democrats in the Senate attacked Condoleezza Rice during the confirmation hearings for Secretary of State. The attack by California Senator Barbara Boxer on Condoleezza Rice was mind-boggling. She kept insisting that the only reason the US went into Iraq was because of the Weapons of Mass Destruction, or the WMDs, as they're called. That's what the enemies of the US have been saying about President George Bush's decision to go into Iraq, but the nuclear bomb efforts of Saddam Hussein were only one of the reasons for the President's policy. The WMDs issue was only the tip of the iceberg. I saw the proceedings on C-Span last night, but I can scarcely believe what I saw. What was the purpose of the attack by Senator Barbara Boxer? Condoleezza Rice will be confirmed anyway. This is bad for our image in the world, let alone our peace efforts in the Middle East. When are the Democrats going to quit defying the will of the American people as expressed in the Election of 2004? [Jan. 19,2005]

Racism and Toleration

The overriding issue of the 3rd millennium will be whether or not democracy is established in Iraq. There will never be peace in the world until toleration between the races becomes the norm. What better place to establish that than in the land where civilization was born. Writing was invented in Mesopotamia. The Scriptures were recorded in Mesopotamia. The Scriptures are what teach us how to live at peace in this world, because everything is in the hands of God.

Last night I watched a documentary abut the 9/11 Commission Report on the History Channel. The documentary had a leftist bias; therefore, it wasn't a true documentary. It was an attempt to strike another blow at Republicans after the election. The Report's conclusion, however, was that our fault in not foreseeing the 9-11 attack was a failure of imagination. That is: we couldn't imagine such a thing happening to us. The narrator repeated it three times during the show, so the Commission ultimately didn't have anything of substance to report, besides what we already knew. The hatred of the nineteen terrorists for us was unimaginable. They were all young men, well educated; their leader was even an engineer. Personally, I think this type of hatred is not religious, but a form of racism.

Americans hate racism. We're out there pouring millions of dollars into South East Asia because they're mostly Muslims. We want to prove to the world that we don't discriminate against people based on religion or race; we will help anybody at a time of need, especially when there is such a heart-rending disaster as the Tsunami that hit Southern Asia one day after Christmas.

Ironically, when it comes to helping Christians under persecution in the world, we don't like to do it, lest we're perceived as biased in favor of Christians. A billion Christians have been massacred by genocidal maniacs in Asia, but the West hasn't made a commotion about helping the Christians the same way they're doing for the Muslims, Buddhists and Hindus today.

What's interesting is that Orthodox Christianity has been regarded more benignly than Western Christianity, both Catholic and Protestant, in Islamic countries. Perhaps the reason is that Orthodox Christianity isn't politically aligned with any state. Generally speaking, orthodoxy in religion tends to be better respected by all religious people. The terrorists, on the other hand, aren't religious. They use religion as a weapon to spread discord, but they're not genuinely religious themselves.

I think the US should extend a hand to Christian refugees fleeing from persecution in Asia. I know there is nothing to be gained politically from such a move, but God will bless this country if we help the Christians also. Maybe there is no immediate benefit to the West to help Eastern Christianity, but there will be someday. Eastern Christianity has always been able to get along with non-Christians better. Their orthodox faith is much more in line with the Apostolic spirit of Christianity and ultimately Eastern Christianity will open the way to a peaceful interchange of humane cultural values between the East and West. Tsunamis and Other Disasters

The disastrous earthquake that hit South East Asia this week has been called one of the worst in recent history. With hundreds of thousands of people dead, the Tsunami took away more lives than any hurricane that hit the US. Americans feel for the suffering of innocent peoples around the world. Their hearts go out immediately to the victims, before they even know who these people are, whether they are Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu or Christian. The Tsunami, just as the September 11 disaster that struck the US, affected the lives of thousands of people with different backgrounds and religions. When such disasters strike our enemies, we don't celebrate in the streets. We're out there helping with relief efforts immediately. Our private charitable institutions are tax exempt and, therefore, more financially able to ship out the supplies of drugs and food to aid in the disaster relief efforts. [Dec. 31, 2004]

Blessings of Christmas

On January 30th, 2004, the Iraqi people will hold their first real election in history. President George W. Bush did this with the help of the American people and the US military. All the liberals in the world were against him, but President George W. Bush didn't back down. His courage is an inspiration to all freedom loving peoples of the world. Now we will see a lasting peace in the Middle East and the resolution of the conflict between the Arabs and the Israelis. This is the first step in bringing freedom to the entire region and ultimately to the world. Wishing the heroic troops in Iraq, fighting for the cause of freedom, the blessings of the Christmas season.

Beyond the Valley of the Shadow of Death

It was fortuitous that all the Democratic liberals ran in the presidential campaign of 2004, because the new generation of American Conservatives that defeated them had been born without these liberals' knowledge. Standing in the rain, on a cold November night, this generation of Republican youths waited to cast their votes and preserve for themselves and for future generations of Americans the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

As the old guard of the Democratic Party waited for the youth to turn the tide in the election and put another liberal in the White House, this new generation of Americans voted conservative. In doing so, the youth of this country elected to return to the original intent of the US Constitution and win through a peaceful transition. They wanted no part of the old generation's defeatist ideals of the Vietnam War Protestors and the Hippie life stylists.

War on Terrorism

The Democrats lost because they were going to abandon the War on Terrorism. The American people rose against the Democrats' call for peace at any price. We simply can't ignore the beheading of people by terrorists, the suicide bombings against innocent people and the genocide against other religions.

The war against the Terrorists in Iraq has to be won if the people of the Middle East are going to be free. Iraq is strategically important to the War on Terrorism. Establishing a democracy in Iraq is essential to the whole region.

The freedom of the people of Iraq depends on respect for all religions. The Islamic nations in the Middle East should protect the Eastern Churches. Eastern Christianity is not at war with Islam. Moreover, the US isn't conducting a religious war in Iraq. The American people voted for George W. Bush because they wish to defend their right to worship and protect their way of life. The American people aren't against Islam. The Democrats tried to win this election by rejecting Christianity. The Democrats have been pushing the US into an atheist system for decades. Atheists hate all religions, but the best hope for peace is a sense of morality. The Democrats need to respect the faith of the American people and quit playing the devil's advocate with everything.

Fight to the Finish

It's as though the Presidential Election of 2004 was a fight between the Anti-Christians and the Christians, between the atheists and the believers. The Democrats chose a Liberal Protestor for a Candidate and the Republicans supported their Christian Conservative President George Bush. John Kerry talked of change. George Bust talked of values. The fate of this country was riding on this election. If the Christians were to lose out in the election of 2004, the Democrats would eliminate God from the American Constitution.

The enemies of America were the non-believers and the terrorists. They were out to destroy the US and the rest of the free world. If the US voters were fooled into voting for the Democrats this election, America would've become an atheist country. Already the educational system is secular. There would be no moral imperative to help any other nation in the world to maintain their freedom or rise against oppression. The Democrats were about to betray not only their allies, but also the American people. Thank God they didn't win.

Hour of Destiny

When Jesus began his ministry in Judea almost two thousand years ago, the world hardly took notice. Judea was a minor province of the Roman Empire. Yet it was prophesied in the Scriptures that the Messiah would come to this little-known area of the world. A king whose kingdom is not of this world is of no interest to the world. It was also prophesied that most people would reject the notion that the Messiah's kingdom was of heaven.

Two thousand years later, we find a US President who professes faith in Jesus the Messiah and regards him as his Lord and Savior. To me as an American Christian this is a very significant time in history. The United States of America is at a crossroad. Are we a Christian nation that offers freedom to our citizens to choose whatever religion they wish to practice, or are we an atheist nation that offers freedom to our citizens to reject all religious practices?

All the founding fathers of the United States of America were Christians. Today, however, the Democratic Party is carrying out a revolution through the Court System that is gradually changing the US Constitution toward atheism. This revolution has been going on since non-Christians in America have become a factor in US politics and government. The Republican Party, however, wishes to maintain Christianity as the leading spirit of the American Way of Life and the Democratic Party wishes to reject Christianity and allow for other religions to take their turn in the Executive Branch of our government. It's conceivable that we may end up with a non-Christian President in the future, or even an atheist President who doesn't even pretend to be a believer in any religion. This is where this revolution is heading. This is where the "separation of church and state" proponents who reject the Bible as our moral code are taking this country.

The US Constitution can be amended up to a point. When the Constitution begins to contradict the intent of the founding fathers who wrote it, the United State of America will cease to be the country that all true Americans know and love, and since we've all sworn to defend the Constitution we'll have to rise as a nation to the defeat the Democratic Party.

This is what the election of 2004 was all about. This was the Hour of Destiny for all Americans. One hundred and twenty-five million Americans went out and voted in this election. The future of America is too important to leave it to the vociferous forty-eight percent of the country. I'm glad that close to two-thirds of the electorate voted. The Democratic Party wasn't soundly defeated, but it was a start. The American people ought to vote more decisively against the atheist liberals to recover their rights as citizens and enjoy the blessings of the greatest constitution ever written.

The freedoms that the US Constitution guarantees are meaningless without the Christian values that engendered them. That is why people from all over the world came to America. Let's conserve these values and nurture the American Way of Life along the original lines stated in the Constitution.

We should continue voting for Conservative Republicans every election. We shouldn't flip-flop between Republicans and Democrats. We're at the Crossroads of History. We must go forth as one nation to defend our freedoms and our way of life. We are a predominantly Christian Culture that insures all Americans have the right to practice their religions without being discriminated against. This is the basis of Christianity. We don't believe in a state religion. This is what the Constitution framers meant by the "separation of church and state." The Bible is the moral code of our nation. When we take the oath of office and when we swear to tell the truth in a court of law, what shall we swear by if not the Bible?

The flip-flop Syndrome

John Kerry wanted us to forget who were the heroes of the Vietnam War. They weren't the war protestors or the deserters. The heroes of the Vietnam War were the Americans whose names have been carved on the Vietnam War Memorial in Washington, D.C. They were the wounded who survived the war only to die in America for lack of recognition of their patriotism and sacrifice. They were the loyal soldiers who remained forever faithful.

Did we lose the Vietnam War that the Democrats fought as a last resort? Yes, the Democrats admitted defeat and called for the withdrawal of US troops from Vietnam; however, Communism was later defeated because we stood firm as a nation under the leadership of Republican Presidents Ronald Reagan and George H. W. Bush.

In the 90's we played it safe for eight years under the moral quagmire of the Democrats and President Clinton. We negotiated with Terrorists for peace and fomented treaties, signed in our nation's Capitol, all to no avail. The Terrorists got stronger and came out against us with the suicide bombers on September 11th, 2001.

This election we decided that we didn't need another draft resistor or war protestor to lead our nation during a war. We re-elected the champion of freedom, George W. Bush, to complete the mission in Iraq and win a lasting peace, by empowering the freedom-loving people in the Middle East so they can lead a more democratic life and end their own misery and oppression.

The War on Terrorism is a different sort of war than the Vietnam War. We're not fighting Communism anymore. Communism has been defeated. Even China is now emerging out of socialism and embracing freedom. The Chinese don't have to reject God and therefore Communism cannot play the same role there as it did in the former Soviet Union.

It's only a matter of time when freedom will reign throughout the world. We ought to embrace this new era in our history and refuse to return to the losing side and the pessimism of God-hating atheists. We don't need any more liberal judges on the Supreme Court, as John Kerry suggested during the debate. He put down the Supreme Court judges Scalia and Thomas by accusing President George Bush of planning to appoint more conservative judges. In fact, we do need more judges like Scalia and Thomas who honor the Constitution and uphold the American values that the framers of our Constitution wrote into law.

Crossroads of Civilization

We are indeed at a critical juncture of history. Terrorists are out in the open murdering even innocent children. All the countries of the world should react with concern. The war on terrorism cannot be won if there are any states harboring terrorists within their borders. This is not a time to wonder about the intentions of the terrorists, their religion, their politics or what cause they're serving. Terrorism can no longer be tolerated if civilization is to survive. President George W. Bush is putting pressure on terrorists worldwide. He is holding the terrorists in check. The Democrats claim that the war against Saddam Hussein was a mistake. The problem with the Democratic Party policy has been that they weaken the military and sit back waiting for the enemy to strike. Then when the enemy strikes, they over-react. The world lost millions of men in the wars that were fought as "a last resort." The Republican Party has always maintained a conservative policy in the world. President George W. Bush's intentions are clear. You want peace? Joins us in the war on terrorism and together we will win the battle of freedom.

The Osama Bin Laden Video Tape

The enemies of America are taunting us with the image of this pathetic-looking man, a relic of the Dark Ages, to frighten us into betraying our American values and our freedom. The images come from an Arab television station, the Al-Gezira. A solemn Osama Bin Laden threatens the world with genocide if we do not heed his warnings of doom. This terrorist leader represents a group of psychopaths who hate us regardless of what he says. Even if he were a ghost, they would be planning their atrocities against us. Even after Osama Bin Laden is dead, as a nation we must still deal with the menace of terrorism for decades. As long as there are Islamic extremists who hate us, we must fight for our survival as a free people.

President George W. Bush isn't going to recoil from the threats of Osama Bin Laden, but finding Osama Bin Laden isn't going to be the end of the problem, just as putting Saddam Hussein in jail isn't the solution of the Middle East problem. The War on Terrorism will be won if we as a nation follow the conservative leadership of George W. Bush and other Conservative Republicans in the government.

Moreover, winning the peace entails the resolution of the Arab-Israeli problem. This is the source of the hatred against us. The Democrats' policy of abandoning Iraq to the Terrorists will lead us to a short-lived peace, after which the Terrorists will regroup and strike us from another angle.

The Democrats failed in Vietnam because of their lack of resolve to engage the real enemy, the Communists in North Vietnam, and these terrorists are worse than the Viet Cong. The Middle East terrorists will not quit even if they win in Iraq. That they must never win is at the heart of why we should replace the Democratic members of Congress with Conservative Republican Senators and Congressmen. This is the task of every American voter in future elections.

The Two-Party System

The Two-Party System has worked great for us, but the Democratic Party needs to be reformed or replaced. The liberals have destroyed the Democratic Party; they want to treat the terrorists with liberal policies. We are essentially at war; our war is against international terrorism. The Democrats are calling for our withdrawal from the field of battle while we've engaged the enemy. We're not fighting for our freedom, but against those who hate us because we espouse freedom for the entire world. We are not fighting against US terrorism, because there is no place for terrorists in our society. We are a free nation and we're staying that way. The only fear we have is the fear of God, but that's not terrorism, because the Messiah has come and freed us from the terror of death. The Republican Party is committed to winning the war on terrorism and keeping the two-party system alive; this is what freedom and democracy are all about.

2000 years after the birth of Jesus

Today we are gradually beginning to return to the way of God. The US is led by a President who honors God and is not embarrassed to profess his faith in Jesus the Messiah. The days of atheism are coming to an end, as both communism and fascism have essentially come and gone. For centuries the world was mesmerized by scientific discoveries that cured many of the diseases that ravaged world populations, as humanity increased beyond the capacity of the prevailing eco system. Thinking that all this success was of human genius and abandoning all faith in God, nation after nation went secular in the hope of solving world environmental problems.

Without recognizing God's providence over the world all efforts were doomed to failure, as the most significant diseases could not be cured. Cancer, rare children's diseases and AIDS are still with us and there is no hope in sight, in so far as atheists lead the field.

It has finally dawned on some of us that what Jesus said in Mark 13:31 still goes: "Heaven and earth shall pass away but my words shall not pass away."

As we return to the true faith and believe in the benevolence of our Creator we will be able to regain a state of peace in the world. Scientists that recognize that all talent and intelligence are God-given will again begin to unravel the mysteries of nature, and not just through trial and error but by inspiration, as it was when science was first invented.

I pray that nations, especially our nation, will continue to elect God-fearing leaders and that the kings of the world will continue to be the protectors of the faith in the One True God.

We don't want to return to the days of communism and fascism. Democracy that is totally based on a secular view of life leads to socialism, and socialism that is based on atheism leads to communism. The Democratic Party is mired in secularism, albeit out of a desire to serve the interests of a diverse constituency. The secular humanism that most of the Democratic candidates for the Presidency are committed to is a danger to American interests in this day and age. We need leaders who will stay the course on fighting terrorism. We need to choose Conservative Republicans to lead our nation in future elections.

Two thousand years after Jesus was born is the beginning of a significant period in history. We don't want to go backwards and lose our faith in God again in this century. It would be a terrible thing after the sacrifices our nation has made in the aftermath of September Eleven.

Dawn of the 21st Century.

As we begin the 4th year of this century, it's amazing how little is said about the changing character of the world we live in with respect to the individual men and women that shape the future. When I look back on the transition period between the 19th and the 20th Century, I recall that there were certain men who were referred to as "19th Century men." It was a putdown, of course, but nobody thought that they'd someday be called "20th Century men" in the same way. In fact, many people are proud of being called that. It used to indicate that a person was with the times. Well, times are changing. It's no longer a complement to be called a 20th Century Man. So, then, we may ask, "What is going to be the character of the 21st Century?"

I believe the major event that will shape the 21st Century will be the demise of Communism. There is already a power vacuum after the dissolution of the Soviet Union. The countries of the Third World are suddenly finding themselves moving up a step, as Russia is gradually joining the First World. What happens to the Second World? And which are the countries of the Second World? That's a debatable question. Everybody wants to be first, but who is second? As for the Fourth World, what happens to the nations without a state? Most of them will remain stateless, because of the demands of Third World terrorists for more power. However, terrorism must end if the word "civilization" will continue to have meaning.

I think that in the 21st Century we will see a return to the knowledge of God and recognize our Creator and the value of the Scriptures. The world cannot even begin to have peace without accepting one moral code, no matter how loosely that may be defined. The Ten Commandments were recorded from the beginnings of recorded history. There is nothing more ancient than the Scriptures. Finally, we must accept that the 20th Century cannot be the definition of man's ultimate knowledge. If anything, I believe the atheistic science of the 20th Century will become the joke of the 21st Century, as more and more women and men begin to realize that there is a God that created the universe and that the earth and the heavens weren't created by accident and out of nothing.
