Aramaic Bible Supporter's Page

Thank you for your continued support. The Disciples New Testament contains the original terminology familiar to English language readers.

Disciples New Testament Index

This was the first translation of the New Testament I made fifteen years ago. I used the original English language terminology hoping that my readers would realize that my translation was based on the authentic Scriptures and that the Western Bibles had been distorted through the process, having gone through Greek and Latin. This was not at all what happened; instead most of my readers assumed that my translation was another version, useful for comparative study.

After several years of hoping and praying about it, I came to the conclusion that I needed to translate according to the Ancient Aramaic Scriptures without conforming to the Western Bibles. As a result of this my terminology is strewn across two linguistic mindsets and three versions of the Bible. You can decide which one you prefer. You will find the newer versions here:

Note regarding the differences

There are two issues involved in the Eastern and Western interpretations of the Scriptures. The first one is the names don't sound the same: Maran Eashoa Msheekha and Maryah Allaha don't sound like "Our Lord Jesus Christ" and "Lord God." Even though these names means the same thing, the perception is that they are the names of two very different religions.

The second issue is that the two religions, namely the Eastern Faith (also called Orthodox) and the Western Faith (mainly Catholic and Protestant) share the same Scriptures, but with some different interpretations. However, the Eastern and Western mindsets are completely different.

These two issues can be resolved by adopting the translations made through this project. I have posted two versions of the Scriptures, one with traditional English language terminology and the other with the Ancient Aramaic terms used by all the Disciples and the people that lived in Galilee and Judea during the Apostolic Age.
