1. "Who listens when they hear Us,
and to whom is the arm* of the Lord* revealed?"
2. He rose like a boy before Him,
and like a shoot* from parched land He had no stature,*
[so as His presence] could be revealed.
3. Plain and the kindest of men,
He was a man [destined] to suffer much,
[people] turned their faces from Him;
they belittled Him and would not count on Him.
4. Truly He anticipated our sorrows
and was [destined] to carry the burden of our wounds,
and we would consider* Him as troubled
and someone beaten* by Allaha* and made humble.
5. He would be killed because of our sins,
be humbled because of our abomination;
courage* will be fulfilled in Him
and He will [come to] be healed by His own grace.
6. We will all be lost like sheep
and men* would turn aside,
and Maryah* will throw at Him all our sins.
7. He would offer Himself and would be humbled,
and He would not open His mouth;
He would be led to the slaughter like a ram
and like the ewe before the shearer He would remain quiet
and would not open His mouth.
8. He would be fetched from besiegement and from condemnation,
and who from his generation* would identify with Him?
Because He would be excluded* from the land of the living,
and some* of the abominable ones of my people will make an offering* of Him.
9. He will be buried with the criminals* and the wealthy in His death,
on account He would not commit any abomination
and there would be no treachery in His mouth.
10. And the Lord* would choose* to humble Him and make Him sorrow;
He* would consecrate the sins onto Himself,
so as His offspring would see and that their days should be many,*
and thus the will of Maryah* would be fulfilled by His* hand.
11. And He shall see the result of His own work,
and He shall proffer knowledge and reward* righteousness;
He shall be the servant of many,
yet* He shall carry their sins.
12. Because of that I* shall divide Him between many
and to the powerful He shall divide the spoils,
in exchange for His casting Himself to death
and to be counted among the abominable,
and yet He shall carry off the sins of many and deal with* the abominable.
