1. On that Day, Maryah* shall go out
with his severe, masterful and almighty sword
against Leviathan, the cruel serpent,
and against Leviathan, the crooked serpent,
and He shall kill the titan that is in the sea.
2. On that Day, the wine orchard shall respond to him.
3. "I, Maryah,* shall protect it,
and I shall command it by night,
and by day I shall plow it.
4. "There is no fence in you
[to prevent] you from having the brush and thorns;
I shall blow at them from close by and burn them up together.
5. "Or I shall take it up by my might and give it peace;
peace I shall give it.
6. "Those that are of the root of Jacob,
shall sprout and blossom into Israel,
and they shall fill the face* of the universe with fruit."*
7. Like the beatings that they beat him, they shall beat him,
and like the killing that they kill him with, they shall kill him.
8. By the measure that he measures, they shall judge him,
they shall scourge him by* his heavy Spirit* on a scorching Day.*
9. Because of this [and] through this, Jacob's abomination shall be forgiven,*
and by all these fruits, his sin shall be set aside,*
like the stones of lime that are smashed,
such that the idols of superstition shall not rise again.
10. Because the city shall be powerful,
she will be ruined by herself and abandoned,
and she shall be destroyed and [end up] like a wilderness.
There the calf shall graze and her teats shall toughen.
11. At the dryness of harvest,
the women that come to enlighten him,
shall all be broken up,
because of that his maker shall have no mercy upon him,
and his former shall not brood over him.
12. And it shall occur on that Day,*
Maryah* shall select* from the tributaries of the river,
up to the gorge of Missrin,*
and you the Children of Israel shall be picked one by* one.
13. And on that Day, the trumpet shall sound off loudly,
and there shall come those who had been enslaved in the land of Missrin*
and those who had been scattered in the land of Ashur,*
and they shall worship the Maryah* in the land of Maryah,*
on the holy mountain in Jerusalem.*
