Isaiah 25

1. You are Maryah Allaha.*
I uphold you and confess your Name,
as you have performed wonders
and [provided] faithful counsel from afar, amen.
2. Because you made a city to be cast asunder,
and a powerful city to be a ruin;
the shrine of foreigners shall never be built from the city
to the [end of the] universe.
3. That is why many nations praise you,
and the great cities of the nations are fearful of you.
4. Because you have been an empowerer* to the poor
and a helper to the unfortunate in his misfortune,
a shelter from violence and a shade from the blight,
because the spirit of the warrior is like the violence of the state,
5. And like the shade from the blight,
the haughtiness of the foreigners shall be humbled,
and the heat in the shadow of the clouds --
the shoot of the powerful shall be humbled.
6. And the Almighty Maryah* shall make a heavenly feast [with wine]
for all the nations in this mountain,
and [it shall be] a feast well guarded and heavenly,
[a feast] of our heavenly and Almighty Life-giver.*
7. And it shall be consumed on this mountain,
[before] the faces of authority that he [brought to bear] over all the nations,
and the slaughter that was [carried out] upon the faces of all the nations.
8. And death itself shall be swallowed up
for those who are victorious to the end of all the universes,*
and the Almighty Maryah Allaha* shall wipe out the tears from all the faces,
and the persecution* of His people shall pass from all the earth,
because Maryah* has spoken.
9. And on that Day, it shall be said,
"This is Maryah Allahan* that we relied on and He shall save up;
this is Maryah Allahan* that we relied on --
He shall rejoice and be glad by His Salvation.
10. Because the hand of Maryah* shall rest on this mountain,
and Moab shall be crushed below him,
like the hay is crushed by the thresher.
11. And he shall extend his hands in [Moab],
as the swimmer stretches forth to swim,
and he shall strike her power with the span of his hands.
12. And with the rubbing out of your formidable walls, he shall be appeased;
he shall cripple it and bring it down to earth, until it reaches the dust.
