Romans 9

1. Firmly, I say in Christ, and I do not lie, and my precept testifies over me through the holy Spirit,
2. That I feel great distress and the anguish from my hear does not cease
3. For I have prayed that my body be excommunicated from Christ on behalf of my brothers and sisters in the flesh,
4. Who are the Children of Israel, that theirs was the consecration as children, and glory and ascendancy and the Law and the service thereof, and the kingdom,
5. And the ancestry, and from them Christ appeared in the flesh, to become God of all, to the [end of the] universe, of all the universes, amen.
6. Then it was not that the God Manifest failed utterly.* For not all who were from Israel are Israel.
7. And neither because whoever is of the seed of Abraham are Children, for it was said [in Scriptures,] "Through Isaac you shall be called Offspring."
8. Therefore, they were not the children of the flesh that became the Children of God, except the Children of the Kingdom that were reckoned as Offspring.
9. For the Kingdom is this Manifestation, that this Age should come to pass and Sarah would bear a son.
10. And not just this, except also Rebecca, who was married to only one, our father Isaac,
11. While still her children were not born and had not committed good or bad deeds, beforehand there was revealed the choice of God, which was determined not through works, except by whom He called.
12. For it was said [in Scriptures,] "The elder shall become the servant of the younger."
13. As it is written, "I was merciful to Jacob and abhorred Esau."

14. Who says such a thing? Why, there is abomination with God? Perish the thought.
15. Behold, even to Moses He said, "I am merciful to whom I am merciful, and designate whom I designate."
16. It is not thus in the hands of who wishes or in the hands of who strives, except in the hands of the Merciful God.
17. For he told Pharaoh through the Scripture,
"Was it not for this that I ruined you,
to show my power through you,
and to preach my name in all the earth?"
18. Therefore, to whomever He wishes, He is merciful, and to whomever He wishes, He hardens.
19. And perhaps it can be said, "Over what does He object?" for who will rise against his will?
20. Thus who are you, O, human being, that you present an argument to God? Why, does the mold say to its molder, "Why did you mold me thus?"
21.Or does not the potter have the authority over his clay, that from its mixture he molds a plate, one for honoring and one for ignominy?
22. If God wishes to show his wrath, and impart his power, there is much over which He can extend his wrath, against the vessels trained for destruction,
23. And [there is much over which He can] pour out his mercies, upon the vessels of mercy who hallowed God with glory --
24. Who are us, the called, not only from the Jews, except also from all the nations.
25. Whereas He said also through Hosea,
"I call those who were not my people my people,
And to those I was not merciful I shall be merciful.
26. "For there will be in the place where they were told
that they were not my people,
There they shall be called
the Children of the Living God."
27. Isaiah preached regarding the Children of Israel, that even if their number became like the sand in the sea, certain of them will be [destined] for eternal Life.
28. The Manifestation will be developed and spread, and they shall make everyone worship our Lord on earth.
29. And like the thing that Isaiah had foretold,
"That if the Almighty Lord had not increased
the number of the ordained,
We would have become like Sodom,
and would have resembled Gomorah."

30. Why did He say this? That the nations who did not pursue righteousness got it, however that righteousness comes from faith.
31. Israel, however, who pursued the Law of righteousness, did not fully understand the Law of righteousness
32. Because of what? Because it was not from faith, except through the performance of the Law, for they stumbled on the cornerstone,
33. As is written in Scriptures,
"Behold, I will consecrate in Zion the foundation stone and the grind stone,
And whoever believes in him shall not perish."
