Romans 5

1. Because we were thus sanctified through faith, we will have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,
2. That in him we received Communion of grace through faith, that through him we may rise [from death] and pride ourselves in the hope of his Divine* glory.
3. And not only thus, except also through tribulations may we pride ourselves, so as we may be cognizant that tribulation develops in us the exhortation of hope,
4. And exhortation, endurance and endurance, hope;
5. Hope, however, does not mock, because the love of God is poured out on our hearts through the holy Spirit that he gave us.
6. If then Christ, because of our sickness in this age*, died on behalf of the living,*
7. For it is not possible for a human being to die for the living, it would be possible for a human being to die for the good ones,
8. Thus God showed his love for us, whereas we were sinners, Christ died on our behalf.
9. Therefore, how much more will he sanctify us with his blood and separate us by it from the wrath.
10. For if while we were enemies, God remained at peace* with us through the death of his Son, how much more harmonious [in granting us sanctification* through his [Son's] Life.
11. And not only so, except we glorify* God through Jesus Christ, through whom we now received the harmony.

12. For whereas through one human being, sin entered the universe, and through sin, death and this death entered humanity, as they all sinned.
13. For until there was the Law, while sin existed in the universe, it was not considered sin, because there was no Law.
14. Except death passed from Adam until Moses, also onto those who did not sin, as though that would become the Law of Adam, that being the death which was destined for him.*
15. Except, this injunction was not an endowment as such. For if because of the injunction of one person many would die, how much more the Grace of God and his endowment through one human being Jesus Christ , He would reward so many.
16. And this endowment was not accorded due to the foolishness of one person. For judgment that originated from one person was with respect to responsibility, however the endowment of being forgiven many sins is with respect to righteousness.
17. For if because of the foolishness of one person, death was passed on [to all,] more over then that they should receive much grace and endowment and righteousness, that they would pass to eternal life through only one person, Jesus Christ.
18. In similar manner thus, because of the foolishness of one person, all humanity was under obligation, likewise because of the righteousness of one person, there will be victory with respect to eternal life for all humanity.
19. For whereas because of one person's heedlessness many sins occurred, likewise also because of the adherence of one, many would become righteous.
20. With the entrance of the Law then, sin increased, and as sin increased, there grace abounded.
21. Just as sin introduced death, likewise grace was proclaimed through righteousness unto eternal life,* by our Lord Jesus Christ.
