Paul's Journey - the movie

[Paul's Journey, the Movie]

There is no Gospel writer who captures the spirit of the Christian life like Paul. His efforts to spread the faith and make new converts to Christianity made him traverse the Mediterranean Sea many times until he ended up in Rome. I think Paul's Journey makes an excellent subject for a movie.

After several years of trying to drum up support for this project, I've had to face the reality that there is no support for Christian movies in the world -- if they're based on the truth! This summer a thoroughly obnoxious movie is going to hit the theatrical screens of the world, entitled The Da Vinci Code. In this movie the director Ron Howard (Opie of the Andy Griffith Show days, who's now a big time director) is going to present a blasphemous lie that Jesus married Mary Magdalene and bore a daughter. The book sold millions of copies and was on the bestseller lists for months; attacking the memory of Jesus is big business these days. Ron Howard has marshaled such movie stars as Tom Hanks to play in this miserable movie that will soon be released by Sony.

Why is it that producers attacking the memory of Jesus always seem to find financing, but movies like PAUL'S JOURNEY are turned down by every movie studio? I'm amazed at the relentless onslaught of evil against true Christianity in the world. Despite all the obstacles to PAUL'S JOURNEY - the movie, I'm proceeding to make a documentary feature about Apostle Paul and his work in compiling the Scriptures.

It's ironic that finally Mr. Mel Gibson has been exposed. Thousands of pastors in America took their congregations to see his movie THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST, which was supposed to be in the Aramaic language and an authentic telling of the story of Jesus Christ. It turned out to be a charade; all the Aramaic quoted in the movie was seriously flawed or faked. Mel Gibson fooled everybody, the Protestants and the Catholics alike. Even Pope John Paul II, in his last days, came out and said regarding the movie, "It is as it was." But men like Mel Gibson have no shame: arrested for drunk driving in Malibu recently, he used obscenities against the Jewish people and the officer that arrested him. Mr. Mel Gibson made a mockery of Western Christianity and Judaism and got away with it, to the tune of six hundred ($600,000,000) million dollars in theatrical revenues.
