Testament of Luke
1. Then* Eashoa called his Twelve [disciples] and gave them power and authority over all demons and to heal [all] sicknesses.
2. And he sent them to preach the Kingdom of Allaha, and to heal the sick.
3. And he told them, "Do not take a thing for the trip*. No rod and no bag and no bread and no currency, and you should not [even] have an extra* tunic.
4. "And whichever house you enter, stay there and leave from there.*
5. "And whoever receives you not, when you leave that town, shake off even the dust of your feet over them in testimony.*"
6. And leaving [from there,] the apostles went around in villages and towns, and they offered hope and healed everyone.
7. But Herod the tetrarch heard all these things that occurred at that [time,] and he was amazed, for people said that John has risen from the dead*.
8. Others said that Elijah has reappeared, and others [said] that a prophet of the first prophets has risen.
9. And Herod said, "I chopped off John's head. Who is this I hear about?" And he desired* to see him.
10. And as the disciples returned, they informed Eashoa about everything they did. And he took them out alone to the outskirts* of Bethsaida.
11. Since the crowds knew it, they went after him and he received them, and he taught them about the Kingdom of Allaha and he healed those who needed healing.
12. And as the sun began to set,* the disciples drew near and said to him, "Release the crowds that they may go around the villages and to holes where they can find rest and find themselves provisions, for we are in deserted countryside."
13. Eashoa told them, "You give them to eat." They said, however, "We do not have more than five loaves* [of bread] and two fish, except if we were to go and buy provisions for all the people."
14. For there was like five thousand men there. Eashoa told them, "Divide them into groups, fifty people in each group."
15. And the disciples did it accordingly, they divided them all.
16. And Eashoa set those five loaves and two fish and gazed at heaven and he blessed and broke [the bread] and gave to his disciples to divide it to the crowds.
17. And they all ate and were satisfied, and they took up the leftovers that were in excess, twelve baskets.
18. As he prayed by himself and his disciples with him, he asked them, saying, "Who do the crowds say that I am?"
19. They replied and said to him, that [they say,] John the Baptist, and others [say] Elijah, and other [say] that [you are] one of those first prophets who has risen.
20. [Eashoa] said to them, "But, you, who do you say that I am?" Replied Simon and said, "The Anointed One of Allaha."
21. But he cried out and admonished them, that this should be told to no one*.
22. And he told them, that the Son of Man is destined to [receive] much sorrow and be despised by priests and leaders of priests and scribes, and be killed and on the third day be risen.
23. And he told it before everyone*, "Whoever desires to follow me, should curse his own self and take up his cross everyday and follow me.
24. "For whoever desires to save their life will lose it. But those that lose their life for my sake, they are the ones that shall save it.*
25. "For what benefits a human being to gain the whole world, but lose his soul forever?*
26. "Whoever is ashamed of me and of my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of when he comes in glory of His Father, together with His holy angels.
27. "Truly I tell you, there are human [beings] that are standing here, who shall not taste death until they see the Kingdom of Allaha."
28. Then after these words, about eight days, Eashoa took Simon and James and John and went up the mountain to pray.
29. And as he prayed, the vision of his face changed and his new robes whitened and sparkled.
30. And, behold, two men spoke with him, that were Moses and Elijah,
31. That appeared in glory. They told of his outcome that was destined to be fulfilled at Jerusalem.
32. And sleep was weighing down on Simon and the others with him. And suddenly they regained their awareness and saw his glory and the two men that stood with him.
33. And as they began to perceive [their own] differentiation from him, Simon said to Eashoa, "Master, this is beautiful for us, like this, and [may] I make three tents, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah." And he did not know what [else] to say.
34. And as he said these things, a cloud came and cast its shadow over them. And fear [came over] them as they saw Moses and Elijah as they [ascended] into the cloud.
35. And a voice came [down] from the cloud that said, "Here is my beloved Son, to Him listen."
36. As the voice was [heard,] Eashoa was found to be alone. And they became quiet, and they told no one* in those days, the thing that they saw.
37. And on the following day, as they descended from the mountain, there approached them a great crowd.
38. And a man from that crowd, cried out and said, "Educator, I beg your attention. My son, who is an only son,
39. "And a spirit comes over him and suddenly he cries out and gnashes his teeth and foams at the mouth and it does not leave him no matter how it rends him.
40. "And I begged your disciples to cast him out and they could not."
41. Then Eashoa replied and said, "O, faithless and ignorant generation, until when do I remain here with you and offer you hope, bring your son over* here."
42. And as [his father] brought him near, the demon threw [the child] down and tormented him. And Eashoa rebuked the evil spirit and healed the child and gave him to his father.
43. And everyone was amazed by the Omnipotence of Allaha. And while every human being marvelled at everything that Eashoa did, he said to his disciples,
44. "Consecrate these words* into your ears. The Son of Man is destined to be betrayed by the hands of humanity."
45. However, they did not comprehend* this manifestation, for it was concealed from them, so they would not know, and they were afraid to ask him about it*.
46. And presumptuousness entered them as to who is the greatness among them.
47. Since Eashoa knew the presumption of their heart, (and) he brought* a child and stood him up next to them.
48. And he told them, "Whoever receives a child like this one in my name, to me he is receiving, and whoever receives me, they receive to whom sent me. The one who is smallest among you, will be the greatest one [among you.]
49. And John replied and said, "Maran, we saw a man* that casts out demons in your name, and we stopped him from coming with us to follow you."
50. And Eashoa said, "Do not stop [them.] Whoever is not against you, is on your side*."
51. And as they talked about the days of his ascension, his expression turned grave about going to Jerusalem.*
52. And he sent angels* before himself,* and they went and entered a Samaritan village as he had intimated so as [to feel them out,]
53. And [the Samaritans] did not [wish to] receive him because he had indicated a preference for Jerusalem.*
54. And as his disciples James and John saw [this,] they said to him, "Maran, if you did wish to command it, (and) fire would descend from the sky and decimate them, like Elijah did also?"
55. And he discussed the [matter] and addressed them and said, "You do not know where the Spirit goes.
56. "For the Son of Man did not come to annihilate souls, except to bring them back to life. And they went [on their way] to the next village.
57. And as they went on the way, a man* said to him, "I will follow you to the country where you are going, my Lord."
58. Eashoa said to him, "For the foxes they have holes* and for the birds of the sky [they have] nests*, but for the Son of Man there is no place to rest* his head."
59. And he said to another one, "Follow me," and [that one] said to him, "My Lord, permit me first go and bury my father.*
60. Eashoa said to him, "Let the dead bury their dead, and you proceed in the hope of the Kingdom of Allaha."
61. Another one told him, "I will follow you, my Lord, but permit me first go say farewell to my household* and I will come.
62. Eashoa said to him, "No human being that throws his hand on the handle of the plow and gazes behind [for recognition] is worthy of the Kingdom of Allaha."

1. After this, Eashoa chose seventy disciples from the other ones, and he sent them two [by] two before himself* to every country and town that they were destined to go.
2. And he told them, "The harvest is plentiful and the field workers few*. Pray thus that Maryah of Harvest may produce workers for the harvest.
3. "Go! I hereby send you forth, like lambs among wolves.
4. "Carry with you neither sacks, nor [extra] clothing*, nor shoes, and do not expect the "Peace"* from men* on the road.
5. "And before you enter any home, before any thing else, wish that home peace.
6. "And if a child of peace lives there, your "peace" shall rest upon them, and if not, your "peace" shall return to you.
7. "In that house [of peace] where you are, as you eat and drink of [their food, it is well,] for the worker is worthy of their compensation. And do not pass from house to house.
8. "And whichever town you enter, and you are received, eat whatever they offer you.
9. "And heal the sick that are there in, and tell them, 'The Kingdom of Allaha has approached* you.'
10. "And in that town where you are not received, go out and tell it in the marketplace,
11. "Even* the sand that sticks on our feet, shake it loose [and leave it] for them. Thus you shall know that the Kingdom of Allaha has approached* you.
12. "I am telling you that, on that day Sodom will be spared rather than that town.*
13. "Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! That if it was in Tyre and Sidon that such Power was exercised as in you, they might have even repented with sack cloth [of mourning] and ashes.
14. "However, it will be peaceful on that Day of Judgment for Tyre and Sidon [compared to what will happen] to you.
15. "And you Capernaum*, the one that until now has been exalted, till sheol you will be lowered.
16. "Whoever listens to you, to me they listen, and whoever oppresses you, to me they oppress, and whoever oppresses me, oppresses whom sent me."
17. And the seventy returned in great joy and said to him, "Maran, even the demons we were able to cast into oblivion with your name."
18. He then told them, "You should have seen Satan as he fell like lightening from heaven.
19. "Behold, I give you authority so you can trample snakes and scorpions and all enemy powers and nothing can fight you.
20. "However, do not just be happy that you can send demons to oblivion, except rejoice that your names have been recorded in heaven."
21. In that hour Eashoa manifested the Holy Spirit and said, "I acknowledge you, Father, Lord of Heaven and earth, that you hid these things from the wise and educated and revealed them to the children. Indeed, [my] Father, (that) such was the intention of your will.*"
22. And he explained to his disciples and said to them, "Everything has been entrusted to me from my Father. And no human knows who is the Son, except [for] the Son, and to whomever desires the Son to reveal Him."
23. And he explained to the disciples by themselves and said, "Blessed are the eyes that saw the thing that you saw.
24. "For I tell you, that many prophets and angels desired to see the thing that you saw and did not see it, and hear the thing that you hear, and did not hear it."
25. And, behold, a scribe rose to test him, and said, "Educator, what shall [one] do to attain life everlasting*?"
26. So then Eashoa said to him, "What is written in the Law? How do you read it?"
27. He replied and said, "That you should love* your Maryah Allaha with all your heart and with all your soul* and with all your strength and with all your cognition, and your neighbor* as yourself."
28. Eashoa told him, "You said it truthfully. Do this and live."
29. But as he wished to [appear] righteous, he said to him, "And who is my neighbor?"
30. Eashoa said to him, "A man went from Jerusalem to Jericho, and robbers fell upon him and stripped him and beat him up and left him with little hope* of revival and they went away.
31. "And it so happened that a high priest came down that way and saw him and passed by.
32. "And likewise also a Levite came, reaching that same location and saw him and passed by.
33. "Then a Samaritan passing through came to the place where [the victim] was and saw him and took pity on him.
34. "And he approached him and treated his wounds and poured wine and oil over them, and placed him on his donkey and brought him to the dispensary and laid him out.
35. "And on the morning of the [next] day, he took out two dinars and paid the pharmacist and told him, 'For his fee and if he needs more care, upon returning I will give it to you.'
36. "Which of the three do you see as the neighbor of the one who had fallen in the hands of the robbers?"
37. [The scribe] said, "The one who took mercy upon him." Eashoa told him, "Go you also and do likewise."
38. And as they were passing through on a road, by a certain village, (and) the woman by the name of Martha received [Eashoa] in her home.
39. And she had a sister whose name was Mary, and she came and sat by the feet of Maran and listened to his words.
40. But Martha was engaged in a great many duties and she came over and told him, "My Lord, does it not give you pause* that she has left me to serve alone? Tell her to help me."
41. Eashoa replied and told her, "Martha, Martha, you are committed and engaged in great service.
42. "But she wants only one thing; Mary picked of those blessings that are never disseminated* [but rather stored.]"*

1. And while he prayed in a certain place, as he was at peace, one of his disciples said to him, "Maran, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples."
2. Eashoa told them, "When you pray, this is what you should be saying,
Our Father in heaven, hallowed is your name, your kingdom is come, your will is done, in heaven as on earth.
"Give us the bread that nourishes us everyday.
"And forgive us our sins, for we too have forgiven all those who oppress us, and so as we may not enter into temptation, except be delivered from the evil one."
5. And he told them, "Which one of you that has a relative, and who goes to him in the middle of the night, and tells him, 'Kinsman, I need three loves [of bread.]
6. " 'Since a relative has come to me from a journey and I have nothing to place before him.'
7. "And he replies from inside and says to him, 'Do not bother me. Behold, the door is locked and my children are in bed with me. I cannot rise and give you [the bread.]'
8. "I tell you, that if not out of a sense of kinship he does it, then surely because of his integrity he will rise and give him as much as he wants.*
9. "I also tell you, ask and it shall be given to you. Seek and you will find it. Knock and it will be opened to you.
10. "For whoever asks, receives and [whoever] seeks, finds and [whoever] knocks, it will be opened to him.
11. "For which father among you, whose son asks him for bread, why, does he hand* him a stone? And if [his son] asks him for a fish, why, in place of a fish, does he hand* him a snake?
12. "And if [his son] asks him for an egg, why does he hand* him a scorpion?
13. "And if you, who are wicked, know the performance of blessings, to be imparted for your children, how more greatly your Father from heaven shall dispense the Holy Spirit to those that ask for it?"
14. And as he cast out a demon that makes a [person] mute, as the demon came out, the dumb [person] could speak, and the crowds were astounded.
15. One* of them said, "By Beelzebub, head of the demons, this one is casting out demons."
16. Others who recognized his miraculous [power] of heaven, asked him.
17. Since Eashoa knew their thoughts, he told them, "A kingdom that rises against itself, becomes ruined, and when a house's foundations* are broken* it falls.
18. "And if Satan rises against himself, how can his kingdom stand, that you should say, 'Beelzebub is casting out the demons?'
19. "And if I am casting out demons by Beelzebub, who is exorcising your children? Because of this they will judge you.
20. "However, if by the finger of Allaha I cast out demons, then the Kingdom of Allaha is approaching you.
21. "As the castrator* guards his courtyard while in possession of his weapon, his herd lies in peace.
22. "However, if a [bigger] castrator comes along, he beats him and takes his weapon, upon which he relied, and he scatters his booty*.
23. "Whoever is not with me is against me. And whoever does not join me will be scattered forever.*
24. "When an evil spirit leaves a human being, it goes circling around the countries that have no Waters,* as it desires rest. And when it finds it not, it says, 'I shall return to my house, where I came from.'
25. "And if it comes, it finds it warm and tranquil.
26. "Then it goes and arranges for seven spirits that are more evil than itself, and they enter and live there, and the end of that being becomes more wicked than before."
27. And as he spoke these things, one woman raised her voice from the crowd and told him, "Blessed is the womb that bore you and the breasts that suckled you."
28. He told her, "Blessed are the ones who hear the Manifestation of Allaha and obey it."
29. And as the crowds gathered, he began to say, "This evil generation wants a sign and no sign shall be given it, except for the sign of Jonah the prophet.
30. "For just as Jonah came to the Ninevites, so also the Son of Man [has come] to this generation.
31. "The Queen of the South shall rise in judgment of these human beings, of this generation, and will find them accountable, since she came from the sunset of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold, someone greater than Solomon is here.
32. "The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment of this generation and find it accountable, since they repented by the preaching of Jonah, and behold, someone greater than Jonah is here.
33. "No human being lights a lamp and places it under cover or under a bowl, except on top of the minaret. So that those who enter shall see its light.
34. "The light* of your body is your eye. So when your eye is clear*, so also your entire body is in the light*; but, if clouded* then also your [entire] body is in darkness*.
35. "Be careful then that none of your light be diminished*.
36. "Then if all your body is in the light, and there is no darkness in it whatsoever, it becomes a beacon of light* like a lamp that shines on you."
37. As he spoke, one Pharisee wanted him to visit with him and have dinner*.
38. However, as the Pharisee noticed* in amazement, he did not perform the cleansing [ritual] before he began [eating.]
39. Then Eashoa told him, "Now, you Pharisees wash the outside of the cup and dish, but inside yourselves are full of plunder and evil.
40. "Fools*, should not the one who [cleans] the outside [also clean] the inside?
41. "If you understood that everything that is given you is a blessing, then, behold, everything would be cleansed for you.
42. "Except, woe to you, Pharisees that you take tithes of mint and rue and every kind of herb*, and [yet] you pass over the Law and the Love of Allaha. These that were your duty to do and not to neglect.
43. "Woe to you, Pharisees, that you relate* to leaderships of synagogues and being greeted at markets.
44. "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, who are like unknown graves that people walk over and they do not know it."
45. And one of the scribes replied and said to him, "Educator, as you say these things, (and) you are reducing us too."
46. So then he said, "Woe to you also, scribes, since you mount upon humanity heavy burdens, and you do not bring near, one of your fingers to [help with] these burdens.
47. "Woe to you, that you erect graves for the prophets that your forefathers killed.
48. "You witness thus and are satisfied with the actions of your forefathers, that they killed them and you, you build their graves.
49. "Because of this the wisdom of Allaha said, that "Behold, I send them prophets and apostles, but they persecuted and killed some of them.'
50. "So that the blood of all the prophets that was shed from the foundation of the universe, shall be required of this generation,
51. "From the blood of Abel until the blood of Zechariah, who was killed in the middle of the temple for sacrifice. Indeed, I tell you, it shall be required of this generation.
52. "Woe to you, scribes, that have taken the key of knowledge. You have not entered and those who wish to enter you have stopped."
53. And as he told them these things, the scribes and Pharisees began to form evil intentions and conspire, and they covered up his words.
54. And they pestered him with [trivial questions,]* as they sought to catch something from his mouth so they could accuse him.

1. And as the leaders of great congregations were gathering, so that they were stepping over each other, Eashoa began to tell his disciples, "From the start guard yourselves against the leaven of the Pharisees, which serves their own interests.*
2. "But then there is nothing that is covered which will not be revealed. And nothing hidden that will not become known.
3. "For whatever you say in the dark, will be heard in the light. And that which you whisper in the ears, shall be preached from the rooftops.
4. "Then I tell you as to relatives, do not be afraid of those that kill the body and later there is nothing more that they can do.
5. "I will show you who to fear, [fear] the one who after he kills, has the power to cast you in hell. Indeed, I tell you, fear that one.
6. "Are not five sparrows sold for two tenths and not one of them is lost before Allaha.
7. "But as for you every one of your hairs has been counted, so do not be afraid, you are worth more than a multitude of sparrows.
8. "Therefore, I tell you, that whoever professes me before humanity, the Son of man shall also profess before the Kingdom of Allaha.
9. "But whoever denies me before humanity, [the Son of Man] shall deny them before the Kingdom of Allaha.
10. "And whoever declares the Manifestation of the Son of Man, shall be forgiven [their various sins.]* But whoever utters a blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, shall not be forgiven.
11. "When they bring you then to synagogues, before the leaders and authorities, do not be at a loss as to how to declare the [Holy] Spirit, or what you will say.
12. "For the Holy Spirit shall teach you at that very hour what is to be duly declared."
13. Then a person* from the crowd said to him, "Educator, tell my brother to divide between us the inheritance."
14. Eashoa said to him, however, "Man, who raised me over you a judge and arbitrator*?"
15. And he said to his disciples, "Beware of all [monetary] greed, because it is not by the wealth gathered through stinginess that one attains [eternal] Life.
16. And he recounted a parable among them. "There was a rich man, whose land produced great harvests for him.
17. "And he thought to himself and said, "What shall I do since I do not have any capacity to store my harvests?
18. "And he said, 'Do this, tear down all barns and build them bigger, and store up there all my grains and blessings.
19. " 'And I will say to myself, "Self! You have great blessings, that you are set for a great many years, rest, eat, drink and be merry!" '
20. "Then Allaha said to him, 'Fool, in this night, your soul will be required of you, and these things that you value, who will get them?"
21. "Such is the outcome of someone who sets up provisions for himself and does not grow rich in Allaha."
22. And he told his disciples, "This is why I tell you, do not wonder about what you will eat and what clothing you will put on your body.
23. "For the soul is greater than its [material] provisions and the body than it's clothing.
24. "Consider the ravens that do not sow or reap and have no hay barns or stores, and [yet] Allaha gives them their fill.* How much more are you [to Him] than a bird.
25. "For which one of you who worries then, can add one arm length to his stature?
26. "But then if you cannot accomplish the last, why worry about the rest of it?
27. "Consider how the lilies grow, they neither toil, nor spin, but I tell you, not even Solomon in all his glory was arrayed like one of them.
28. "If then what grows daily in the field and later is thrown* into the oven, Allaha adorns in such a way, how much more for you, O, you of little faith?
29. "And you do not ask for what you eat and what you drink and let not your council be about such things.
30. "For these things all the people of the world want, and for you also your Father knows that such things are necessary.
31. "However, ask for the Kingdom of Allaha and all these things will be provided you..
32. "Do not be afraid for being a small flock, since your Father is pleased to give you the Kingdom.
33. "Sell your live stock and stores and give alms. Make yourselves sacks that do not wear out, and an offering that is not found short in heaven, where the thief does not come near and the frost does not destroy*.
34. "For where you have placed your trust, there also will be your heart.
35. "Have your belts wrapped around your backs* and your lamps burning bright,
36. "And be like the person* that serves his master (that) when he comes from the feast, that when he comes and knocks, you immediately open up [the door] to him.
37. "Blessed are the servants, those who when their master comes and finds them awake and attentive. Amen, I tell you, that he will prepare them* [for the journey] and throw a feast for them and he shall pass and serve them.
38. "And if he comes in the second or third watch and finds them such, blessed are those servants.
39. "This then you should know, that if the master of the house knew at which watch the thief would come, he would have been watchful and would not allow his house to be ransacked.
40. "You also be as blessed, as in that hour that you did expect, the Son of Man shall arrive."
41. Simon Kepa [Peter] said to him, "Maran, are you telling this parable regarding us or is it also regarding everyone?"*
42. Eashoa told him, "Who then is the faithful and wise master of the house, who is raised to the position of authority* for their service, that they may bring provisions* in season?
43. "Blessed is that servant whose master comes and finds him doing such.
44. "I tell you truly that he is put in charge* over all possessions*.
45. "But if the servant says in his heart that the master will be late in coming, and begins beating the servants and the homemakers of his master, and begins eating and drinking and getting drunk,
46. "The master of the servant comes on the day that he did not expect and in an hour that he did not know, and he decimates him, and he fixes his portion with that of the unfaithful.
47. "But the servant that knows the will of their master and is not pleased to do his will, brings on misfortunes.
48. "And the one who does not know and does that which deserves punishment, brings on smaller misfortunes. For whoever has much, much is expected of them. And the one who is valued highly, greater works are expected of them.*
49. "Fire has come to be cast over the earth, and I would not be pleased, except it was kindled long ago.
50. "And I have a baptism to baptize, and I am anxious until it is fulfilled.
51. "Did you expect that peace was cast on the earth? I tell you, no, except division.
52. "For from now on where there are five in a house, they will split three against two and two against three.
53. "For father will split off against the son and the son against his father, mother against her daughter and daughter against her mother, mother-in-law against daughter-in-law and daughter-in-law against mother-in-law."
54. And he told the crowds, "When you see the cloud that rises out of the west, at once you say that rain is coming and it happens thus.
55. "And when the south is dry, you say it will become hot and it happens.
56. "Hypocrites, you know how to discern the disposition* of the earth and the sky, but the Age at hand you do not discern.
57. "Why do you not then discern* for yourself what is a hallowed?
58. "For when you go with your accuser* to the police, while still on the way, pay settlement and finish with him, so that he may not take you to the judge and the judge turn you over to the jailer and the jailer throw you in prison.
59. "And, amen, I tell you, that you will not emerge from there until you have given up your last coin."
