Recently there has been much news about homosexuality in America. Many secular candidates for office believe that the homosexual lifestyle is acceptable and that homosexuals should have all the privileges of married couples, namely shared property, fair taxation, parental legitimacy in adoption of children and so on.
Unfortunately, homosexuality carries with it a type of humiliation which is different than the ordinary humiliation of other lifestyles.
It is humiliating for a person to be regarded as a sexual target by another person of the same sex. It is not in the natural order of things for such relationships to be conducted openly or in secret. The human biology is not intended for same-sex copulation, because there is no resultant procreation. This is from the scientific point of view; from the Creator's point of view, of course, this is also most unnatural and condemned by the Scriptures. Eashoa (Jesus) went one step further and pointed out the fact that homosexuality leads to the corruption of children. Then it become a horrible sin.
Mark 9:36. And he indicated a child and stood him in the middle, and he picked him up in his arms and told them. (37) Whoever submits like this child, in my name, they are submitting to me. And whoever submits to me, is not submitting to me, except to who sent me."
Mark 9:42. "And whoever misleads one of these small ones who believes in me, deserves to have a donkey's millstone thrown on his head and be thrown into the sea."
Also, Paul writes in Romans 13:13. And as in daylight we should always conduct ourselves properly, not in singing and not in drunkenness and not in sleeping filthy, and not enviously and destructively, (14) except array yourself with our Lord Eashoa the Messiah, and do not abandon your flesh to lust."
There are many forms of humiliation, not all of them are sexual. There are humiliations of unfair or undesired servitude, such as forced slavery.
All forms of humiliation are the work of Satan. They are undesirable for the victims. Nobody, regardless of his or her political view, likes to be humiliated.
Eashoa (Jesus,) however, accepted the humiliation of Satan when he allowed himself to be spat on, beaten and crucified on the cross like a common criminal. Eashoa (Jesus) allowed this to happen because he was destined to sacrifice himself for all the sins of humanity. This was a once in the lifetime of the universe occurrence. It is different now; nobody is expected to be humiliated in this fashion again. This is why Eashoa's sacrifice was so great and cannot be duplicated ever.
From the Lord's perspective, it is necessary for Christians to humble themselves so as to be deserving of Eashoa's sacrifice.
The Lord expects His servants to be humble; it is Satan who humiliates his followers.
