Bible Blog

The Aramaic Bible Web Log is a forum for discussing the origins of the Bible and the value of translating the Scriptures from the Ancient Aramaic Texts of the Ancient Church of the East directly into English. I believe that the Ancient Aramaic language is the true scribal language of Scriptures.

The every knee shall bow scripture in philippians

The every knee shall bow scripture in philippians, "That Jesus is Lord to the Glory of God his father." I've read the latin and the douay reihms has a very interesting interpretation of that scripture - one that all other bibles miss. It completly changes the notion that all will, because of His Lordship, bow through his force. But the douay reihms says that every knee shall bow, acknowledge Him, because Jesus is IN the Glory of the Father. This is vitally important because it shows the mechanism through which the world will know, will bow before Him - because He is in the Glory of the father: He and the Father are one - He is God. The world will acknowledge His identity, thus fulfilling his prayer in John and His desire for us to know Him, (His nature) and then they will bow the knee. I think that this is a vitally important detail for future scripture. Thanks and God bless !!!
