One of the early missionaries was Dr. Joseph Cochran who came to Urmia in 1848. His son was born there and his grandson as well. The Cochrans together with other American missionaries started the Medical College named Qallah (Castle) in Urmia. I met Dr. Joseph Cochran, Jr. in Duarte, California, in the late 1970s where he lived in a missionary retirement home. I asked him, "What was the American Missionaries' main contribution to the Ashurai people?" He said, "We wrote the grammar for their Syriac vernacular and translated the Bible for them, so they could read it in their own language."
During the First World War; the Ashurai people were fighting on the side of the Allies. Dr. William Shedd, another Presbyterian missionary doctor, died of Cholera during the Exodus out of Urmia in 1918. Dr. Shedd was a graduate of Princeton. In fact, his brother-in-law was the President of the Princeton Theological Seminary. Princeton was the breeding ground of American Intelligence services. Today we know the role that Intelligence played in the aftermath of the discovery of oil in the Middle East. What is hard to believe is that ultimately the purpose of such men as Dr. Shedd became to suppress the knowledge about the Ancient Aramaic Scriptures and the role of the Ancient Church of the East in the preservation of the original Scriptures. It takes sometimes many centuries before the truth is known. The American Intelligence operatives were out there to destroy the legitimacy of the Ancient Aramaic Scriptures. That was their main goal.
The Presbyterian Missionaries asked permission from the Patriarch of the Church of the East, Mar Benyamin Mar Shimmun during the early 1800s, if they could translate the Ancient Aramaic Scriptures into English. The American Missionaries said that the Ancient Aramaic had become like the Old Latin of the Catholic Church and not many people understood what the priests and deacons were praying and reading from the Scriptures anymore; but that was not their main reason for wanting to do the translation. Mar Benyamin did not offer them any further assistance in translating the Scriptures, as the Ashurai people were busy fighting the Axis Powers of Turkey.
What the American Presbyterians Missionaries did was amazing; they translated the Bible from English to Syriac and told the Ashurai people that they had translated it from the Ancient Aramaic Scriptures. To this day, the Ashurai people all over the world (Assyrians, Chaldeans, Syrianis, Jacobites, and all the others) have been told the same lie. In fact, the Ancient Aramaic Scriptures have never been translated into the modern vernacular of the descendants of Ashur or into any of the languages derived from the Ancient Aramaic. There is no modern Aramaic translation of the Ancient Aramaic Scriptures in any dialects or a derivative of the Ancient Aramaic or as it is known among the people of the Ancient Church of the East as "Leeshana Ateeqah" or the ancient tongue.

One
of the main reasons for not translating it is that the Ancient Aramaic
language has a ten times bigger vocabulary than any of the modern
Aramaic dialects; therefore, a translation from the Ancient Aramaic to
any of the modern Aramaic dialects would by necessity carry many
foreign words and interpretations; it would simply be a bad
translation. In fact translating the Ancient Aramaic Scriptures into
English is a much better idea, because at least the English language
has a vast and rich vocabulary, and therefore it is more appropriate to
simply translate the Ancient Aramaic Scriptures into English, which is
what I have done. However, the real reason why the American
Missionaries wanted to do the translation was so they could make the
claim that the American Standard Version, which was based on the King
James Version of 1611, was the main version of the Bible, so American
Christianity would have the first position in the hierarchy of the
Christian World. So once the American Missionaries dispensed with the
Ancient Aramaic Scriptures as having been translated and to be found
identical with the King James Version, they could go on their merry way
and proclaim their phony Bible as the oldest one, based on the Greek
Original, a term they coined for the purpose of making the fraudulent
case that the Kingdom was taken from the Jews and given to the
Gentiles.
The Bible was also translated from English to Kurdish. The translator traveled to America and went to Princeton University in the early part of the 20th Century. He brought his translation of the Bible in the Kurdish language and presented it to the Princeton University Press. The Kurdish Bible translation was made as a way to promote peace with the Kurds who had allied themselves with Turkey at the outset of the First World War. However, the Princeton University Press refused to publish the Kurdish Bible.

They
told the translator that they did not know Kurdish and could not
ascertain if it was a good translation. He returned to Urmia dismayed
by their refusal to publish the Kurdish Bible, but he continued to work
alongside the Presbyterian Missionaries until he died. What he did not
know was that the English translation of the Ancient Church of the East
Bible was a fake. He assumed that the English translation that was made
from the Ancient Aramaic Scriptures was a genuine work of translation.
In his day, there were no theologians and there were no scholars of
both the English and the Ancient Aramaic languages; therefore, no one
knew what the American Missionaries had done. To this day nobody
believes what the American Missionaries did. All the Bibles based on
the English language translation are falsified versions of the Original
Scriptures. And to this day Western Christianity holds to the fallacy
that the New Testament was originated in Greek, that Paul wrote his
Letters in Greek and that the oldest version of the Old Testament is
the Greek Septuagint.
From the beginning there was something phony about American Christianity, but no one would know to what extent until Obama declared before the Turkish Parliament this year that America was never a Christian country, that in fact it had never been a Christian country. It was shocking and horrifying. Was American Christianity all a charade?
Of course, Obama was right, because American Christianity is not a genuine religion; it is more of a political philosophy. The American churches are the hijackers of the Christian faith. They have translated the King James Version of the Bible into all the known languages, including Syriac and all the other languages of the East, and they have claimed that there are no differences between all the Bibles. They have betrayed Jesus by betraying his language and they have denied the existence of the sacred scribal language in which the New Testament and all the Scriptures were originated.
It is ironic that even the Jews believe that the Old Testament of the English language is the correct version of the Old Testament, and they have translated the Greek Septuagint into Modern Hebrew. They state that the Ancient Aramaic Scriptures are the oldest but that there are none left intact and, therefore, the Greek Septuagint remains the oldest and best preserved version of the old Scriptures. This is stated in the Preface to their Official Torah.
It is said that the Lord works in mysterious ways. Yes, indeed, He does. It was really hard to understand why the American Missionaries at Urmia decided to distort the Scriptures, why the American Intelligence services decided to abandon Eastern Christianity; but that day is here and the truth of this policy can finally be told; its purpose now is clear: it is to destroy genuine Christianity and obscure the words of the Lord for all generations. The only thing that remains, the only intended course is that the Narrow Road that Eashoa (Jesus) spoke of would always remain narrow and the Broad Path would always remain broad. So be it; I point out the Narrow Road. Sometimes that is all that one can do.
Here is the greatest discovery in the history of Christianity: the Ancient Aramaic Scriptures are the only authentic Scriptures in the world and they have never been translated before. Read my translation and decide for yourself.
