In the Aramaic grammar there are two genders: masculine and feminine. There's no neuter. There is no "it." There was no "it" in the beginning. The Creator of the universe created everything as male or female -- grammatically speaking. There are profound philosophical implication to this peculiarity of the Aramaic language.
