Project Methodology

This is the final chapter of the project report based on the original proposal that was rejected by the National Endowmnet for the Humanities in Washington, D.C. in 1995. Here are the last six paragraphs of the proposal with comments that I'm making now nine years later.

1. The original texts of the Bible are strangely enough available in print. The Christian world does not know that they are the originals, because almost no one can read and understand them, or even discern their authenticity, since the original language is dormant. Therefore, I am not affected by the controversy as to which is the oldest found version of the Bible at all. As I am dealing with the original Aramaic idioms, transliterating the verses and maintaining true idiomatic readings, as well as Aramaic poetic construction, my main concern is recovering the original meanings of the passages, especially the words that Jesus spoke.

I thought that by doing all this, most people who are interested in the subject, if not most of the scholars and theologians, would grasp the value of my translation and make use of it. However, only a handful of people understand that what I've posted on these pages is the best translation of the New Testament in the English language, that this is truly an authentic translation of the Scripture. I've tried to deal with this lack of appreciation for my work philosophically. I must admit that I've held back the essential fact as to why my translation is different and better than the modern translations, but I feel that I have to explain this now because this is the final chapter of my project report, so just for the record here it is.

My translation decodes the transliteration of the Scriptures and provides a true reading. The Scriptures were coded so that the Muslims who took over the Fertile Crescent after the 6th Century would not kill the Christians for worshipping the True God. The concept of the Trinity and Eashoa's Godhood had to be coded so they were undetectable through the Arabic language. This coding of the essential doctrines that deal with the concept of the Triune God and His Son's relationship to Him and the relationship of the Holy Spirit to the Two had to be protected from the Muslims. All these are alluded to in the prophesies of the Book of Revelation. Don't ask me for details, first read my translation of the Book of Revelation. E-mail me for access. This code was carried over to the Greek translations intact and the subsequent Latin and English translations interpreted all these concepts in error. And these errors proliferated as other modern translations were made into different languages. Interestingly, the coding of the Scriptures became also unknown in the East, but providentially the Scriptures were maintained by the Ancient Church of the East without changes; the monks simply copied them by hand. There were no printing presses in those days anyway; and ironically, when the Gutenberg Press was invented, the Ancient Church of the East split into the Chaldean and the Assyrian (Ahturai) factions in 1553. The Scriptures would remain dormant since that date. The Chaldeans joined the Roman Catholic Church while the Assyrian faction remained independent. Both churches exist today. Thus as of the 16th Century the Ancient Aramaic Scriptures have remained dormant for lack of competent translators. This is what I discovered and addressed in these pages and what the value of my translation consists of; this is a mere coincidence that I should be the one who first discovered this at a time when there is so much interest in the authentic Scriptures and true Christianity. There definitely is a revival of Christianity today and I think it's a good thing.

2. Authoritative texts are freely available and shall be used for comparison, such as the 1611 King James Version, the Standard American Bible, the Concordance, the New American Version Bible (the St. Thomas Edition,) the New International Version and so on, including the Greek and Latin versions as well.

All these translations were useful because I was able to find out where the discrepancies in the doctrines were by simply comparing them. Whenever, there was a coded word there were multiple interpretations. Some of these words were translated completely different. With respect to the word "nations," it was almost always translated as "gentiles." This was an easy one to find and correct. The modern translations made this choice because of racism. This racism is invisible to the Western nations. That's why millions of people today are convinced that the Mel Gibson movie is not prejudicial toward the Jews. The concept of the "gentiles" as the inheritors of "the kingdom" is a deliberate fabrication to deny the fact that the Jews spread the true faith about the Messiah throughout the world and that the Kingdom was never taken from them. All the disciples of Jesus were Jews. Read my translation of Hebrews for details about the nature of this prejudice.

Other words, such as the "Trinity" were always translated in error and most translations didn't agree on the way the original words naming the Trinity were recorded, how they were dropped or changed. This was easy to spot after I made the discovery in the Gospel of John for the first time. Read my translation of the Gospel of John and notice the Trinity mentioned and explained by Jesus Himself.

There are literally thousands of examples I can write about here, but I would end up writing a few thousand pages on each of them, so this obviously is sufficient for now. My translation of the Disciples New Testament contains a thousand footnotes dealing with errors in the modern-day translations.

3. My interest is primarily in translating the Aramaic into American English, since Jesus' words are the most important from the perspective of what Christianity and the Christian Bible are all about.

It was better that I translated the New Testament first, because it was more relevant for me as a Christian to consider the Old Testament in the light of Eashoa the Messiah's words.

4. Dealing with errors is a very sensitive issue when it comes to the Bible. I intend to provide extensive and ample footnotes whenever my translation corrects an outright error; however, if the passage or word in question is acceptable but poorly translated, then I will merely give a better idiomatic translation. However, I will use extensive notes on the translation in the forward to the Bible.

Here I was being diplomatic. I didn't realize that the modern-day churches had made a virtual mess of the whole Bible.

5. There are no serious problems posed by the translation, except for the fact that some of the concepts that have been embraced by certain denominations have created major obstacles to a clear understanding of the Bible. Only careful, comparative study of my translation against all other translations, including the Greek "Original", can lead to a clear understanding of the true words of Jesus Christ and the holy Bible.

I was wrong here. There were many serious problems posed by the translation. I've been unable to convince many people that my translation is the only authentic translation in the English language.

6. The introduction and annotations to the translation will deal with the main reasons why a new translation is essential, namely that Jesus Christ spoke Aramaic and that the idioms and the poetic elegance of his words have never been properly translated before. There will be ample annotations to identify various passages in Aramaic, both in literal and idiomatic translations, and I will clarify all relevant details and differences between my translation and other translations.

And this will be something I'll do as a follow-up after this report is posted.
