Paul's First Letter to the Corinthians
1 Corinthians 1
1. I Paul, called to be the apostle* of Eashoa Msheekha by the will of Allaha, and brother Sosthenes: 2. To the church of Allaha in Corinth, the called and sanctified, blessed through Eashoa Msheekha, and to all those who go by the name of Maran Eashoa Msheekha* in every country, theirs and ours, 3. Grace be with you and peace from Allaha our Father and Maran Eashoa Msheekha.*
4. I confess to Allaha in every season on your behalf, about the grace of Allaha that He has given you through Eashoa Msheekha, 5. That you may be enriched through him, with every word and with all knowledge, 6. As the testimony of the Messiah is confirmed through you, 7. So that you are not lacking in a single of his endowments, except are held by the revelation of Maran Eashoa Msheekha. 8. So you are a partaker until the very end, that you may not be in guilt on the day of Maran Eashoa Msheekha. 9. Faithful is the Allaha by whose hand you were called to the wedding feast of his Son, Eashoa Msheekha, our Maryah.
10. I pray, brethren,* in the name of Maran Eashoa Msheekha, that he endows you with one Manifestation, and that there may not be among you divisiveness, except that you may be confirmed in one faith,* and in one accord. 11. Apostles came to me, brethren, from a reliable source and informed me that there are destructive people among you.* 12. This, however, I say, there are among you those that say, “I am Paul's,” and there are some that say, “I am Apollos's,” and there are those that say, “I am Keepa's,”* and there are those that say, “I am Eashoa's.” 13. Why, are we going to divide Eashoa between us? Why, was Paul crucified on your behalf?* Or was it by the name of Paul you were baptized? 14. I confess to Allaha that I did not baptize anyone,* except Crispus and Gaius. 15. Let no one give my name as the one who baptized them.* 16. However, I also baptized the household of Stephanas. Besides that I do not know another human being I may have baptized.
17. Eashoa did not send me to baptize, except to preach the Hope [of the Kingdom.] Not through the wisdom of words, so that the Cross of the Messiah may not be rendered empty. 18. For the Manifestation of the Cross to the lost souls is foolishness. However, to us, who have been brought back to Life, He is the Power of Allaha. 19. For it is written in Scriptures that He shall obliterate the wisdom of the wise and warp the minds of the learned. 20. Where is the wise? Or, where is the scribe? Or, where is the debater of this world*? Behold, did not Allaha turn the wisdom of the world into contentiousness? 21. For because of the wisdom of Allaha, the world* cannot know through the wisdom of Allaha. It is Allaha's will that through contentious preaching, He shall impart life everlasting to those who believe. 22. Because the Jews ask for signs, and the Aramaeans* pray for wisdom. 23. We, however, preach the Messiah as crucified. To the Judeans, a stumbling block, and to the Aramaeans, contention. 24. However, for those called, Jews and Aramaeans, the Messiah is the Power of Allaha and the wisdom of Allaha. 25. Because the contention of Allaha is wisdom from humanity and the sorrowing of Allaha emanates as power from human beings. 26. For look also at who are called among you; brethren, not many of you are wise in the flesh, and not many of you are strong, and not many of you belong to a great dynasty. 27. Except Allaha has chosen the foolish of the world to be wise and He has chosen the sick of the world to be the strong. 28. And He has chosen those who lack a dynasty in the world, and the denigrated and the have-nots, and abolished those who were established. 29. So that no flesh boasts in front of Him. 30. Also, you are from Him through Eashoa Msheekha, who is our wisdom from Allaha and holiness and saintliness and salvation. 31. As it is written in Scriptures, “Whoever is glorified, through Maryah is glorified.”
