The Betrayal of Christianity in America
Another way to look at this is that the betrayal of Christianity in America has been declassified. The fact that the US has never been a Christian country has been declassified.
Forty-three Presidents have been elected by the American people over the last 200 years in an unbroken democratic process and none of them revealed this ugly fact.
It took one man, the son of a foreign student from Kenya, who has become the 44th President of the United States, to find out that the US has never been a Christian Country. And it is not that he was brilliant that he decided to reveal this secret; he was born and raised a Muslim and saw no value in maintaining the lie.
So why was this fact kept hidden for two hundred years? Well, there are millions of reasons. The fact is that the lie was perpetuated for centuries. And here is the crux of the matter: the fact has not been denied! Therefore, there is no use in discussing any of the reasons.
Who revealed this fact to Obama? It does not matter; it was revealed to him the moment he became President.
Was Obama elected for this purpose only? Yes and no. He was elected by the White people because he was a Muslim; he was elected by the Black people because he was Black and by the Muslims because he was a Muslim.
The important thing is to remember that Obama has been President for almost two years and no one has denied the fact. Therefore, it does not matter anymore whether America was ever a Christian Country or not. America is not a Christian Country. This subject is closed.
What are those Christians who were deluded into thinking that America was a Christian Country to do? It is simple: Jesus said it, "Do you see this coin?" He held up a Roman coin that was in use in Judea at the time. "Whose picture is this?" The crowd said, "Caesar's" He replied, "Give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and to God what belongs to God."
The question was raised by the Pharisees with respect to whether or not they should pay taxes. Vice-President Biden has said, "It is patriotic to pay taxes." And it is. If someone works in America and does not pay taxes he will be arrested, tried and imprisoned. Well, this might be considered more like slavery. It is. So what else is new? It was like that at the time of Jesus too.
Taxes are paid so that the government may continue to provide protection for the people. Some projects are too large for the public to handle, such as building roads, bridges, and the defense of the country. When a government does not have the revenues to do these projects, the only way is to tax the people. Is it a fair system? No, but there is nothing to be done about it. If you study the Biblical story of Joseph in Egypt, you will see how this is a very old situation.
With Obama in the White House, American Christians have finally a clear picture of what it is to be Christians in a non-Christian country. It is better to build a new culture based on the truth rather than on a lie, even though that lie is two hundred years old. It is time to face the fact.
