Ashurai Ancient History

The Ashurai people of Bet Nahrein or Mesopotamia created the First Civilization in history from their first capital at Ashur. Their history begins at 7000 BC according to Carbon-14 testing. They were the first people to recognize God and considered all earthly power to be endowed by the Creator of the universe.

[Triune Ashur]

The Symbol of Ashur is a pictograph, depicting the three Manifestations of Elohim or God. Ashurai kings were servants of God. They were the first king-priests of ancient times.

[Ashurai religious ceremonies]

The ceremonial altars at which the Ashurai kings performed the sacrificial offerings were the first recorded in ancient history. The king-priests, like Ashurbanipal in this relief from the British Museum, were mighty hunters and warriors.

[Cuneiform Tablet, Mesopotamia]

The greatest inventions of Mesopotamia were writing and numbers. The Ashurai kings collected the literature of Sumer and Babylon at Nineveh. The Ashurbanipal Library is a great collection of over 50,000 tablets, which has been preserved at the British Museum. It was excavated at Nineveh during the late 19th Century by Hurmuzd Rassam, a descendant of the ancient Ashurai people. Hormuzd Rassam began as an assistant of Henry Layard and later succeeded him as one of the first archeologists in history.

[Kings List, 4000 years history, BM collection]

The Kings List at the British Museum is a collection of tablets from Mesopotamia that spans 4000 years of continuous rule of kings from Sumer, Babylon, Ashur, Nimrud and Nineveh. This history represents the record of the world's first empire that culminated at Nineveh three thousand years ago.

[Louvre Museum, Paris, France]

Nineveh's sculptors created the world's first modern art. The Protectors at the gates of Ashurai cities depicted the triune essence of the Ashurai religion. The wisdom of man, the wings of the Holy Spirit, the body of a lion -- these were the first statues that expressed ideas through art. They were not objects of worship like the statues of the Egyptians and other ancient cultures. The Ashurai worshipped one God, or Ashur, as he is known in the Ancient Ashurai language. "Ashurai" means the people of God. This statue is from the Louvre Museum in Paris, France. The French consul in Mesopotamia, Henry Botta, was one of the first archeologists in history. He started a great collection at the Louvre Museum. His work was carried on by André Parrot in the 20th Century.

[King Shalmanesser III, Nineveh 800 BC]

The statue of King Shalmanesser III displays all the symbols of modern religions as worn by one king. It's one of the most incredible facts of the Ashurai Civilization.

[Ashurai musicians, Nineveh 1000 BC]

It's not only writing and numbers that the Ashurai invented, but also music. In this relief, musicians are depicted with flutes and harps.

[Architectural design, Louvre Museum]

This tablet at the Louvre Museum depicts an architectural design. Ashurai architecture is unparalleled in the world even to this day.

[Ashurai City, Berlin Museum]

There are many reconstructions of the Ashurai cities. This one is from the Berlin Museum.

[King Sargon II, Ashurai King]

The Ashurai kings, such as Sargon II, were great warriors. However, the Ashurai Civilization was the first empire in history that spread the knowledge of writing, science, medicine, art and agriculture throughout the world. The Ashurai people of ancient times were great administrators and later after their empire fell, they became the first traders and teachers. At the time of Jesus they became the first nation to accept Christianity as their religion.

[Aramaic Alphabet invented at Nineveh 800 BC]

At the end of their rule, the Ashurai kings began to issue proclamations in both scripts, the ancient cuneiform and in Aramaic. The above inscription is from a giant stone that hangs in the British Museum in London, England. The Aramaic language is essentially Ashurit, using the alphabetical script invented in Nineveh at around 800 BC. This became the language in which the Scriptures were recorded.

[Tree of Life, British Museum]

Some of the earliest concepts of Christianity come from the Ashurai religion of Mesopotamia. In this great relief at the British Museum in London, you can see the essence of the Christian religion: the Father and the Son depicted standing around the Tree of Life, with the depiction of Ashur, or the Holy Spirit, in the center above the Tree of Life. On both sides there are angels holding symbols of the Ashurai religion. Notice the recognition of the Father for the Son. The ancient Ashurai history, religion and civilization are an incredible reality of human history.
